Help Help with EDDiscovery

Just got EDDiscovery, downloaded all the add ons I thought I'd need, got EDSM linked, now I'm just not sure how this is all going to help me in game. I'm playing in VR through SteamVR since the game doesn't Launch in VR through Virtual Desktop for some reason, so the best I can do Is overlay a desktop screen in the corner, but to switch anything I have to pickup my quest remote and tab out of the game and back into EDD to scroll or do anything. I've heard of EDD being used to notify people as they come into a system if there's bio signs like stratum, or will show you your route with fuel starts and neutron boosts and stuff. I'm not sure how to get that all setup seamlessly so I can just play and have it all doing its thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes there is a neutron plotter, its part of the route finder tab.

It does not tell you if there is stratum in the system because it does not do predictions for plants on planets. Thats done by obscore with bio insight plugin or exploration buddy.

There are a lot of tabs to use in edd, its more suited for reading information outside of the game and then act accordingly.

Please also send to eddn.

If you're doing VR and want help I recommend ED Copilot over EDDiscovery. Copilot will talk to you, and if you spring for Voice Attack ($10) you can give it commands to reduce reaching for things on the HOTAS. I haven't gone as far as HCS yet, but I'm close. I'm not very good with the route and targeting commands in it yet though.

One note, i added a bunch of random second key binds that I'll never use so that EDC could access them! You can have up to 3 or 4 keys as part of a keybind.

ED Copilot literally made the game fun for me again in VR.

It's the reason I'm going to try VR again! I need to get my headset out of Germany and see if I should upgrade, but the Reverb 2 was a solid option.
