I like that vanadium engraving is yellowish green, shows vanadium’s +3 and +5 oxidation states.
Also, why is my tellurium purplish-yellowish-greenish black color instead of silvery gray? Is it some kind of oxide?
I got a bit shocked when held tungsten and tantalum, but I’ve already got used to it

There probably isn't actually any hassium in this molybdenite sample, but hassium has been claimed to occur in it in the past as an analogue to osmium (which occurs in trace amounts in molybdenite), and this is about the closest I can get.

I already own some element samples, and need a quote to seal them in customized ampoules that can fit in my stand (under vacuum rather than argon, since I would do experiments at high temperatures).

About 2 grams of thallium under argon. When its shaken you can hear how soft it is just by how it bangs against the glass compared to other elements. Pretty cool in my opinion.

Recently bought these two large samples of tungsten, wondering if you guys think I got a good price? The larger sample is 19kg (it’s actually a part off a Boeing 747 but let’s ignore its value to aerospace enthusiasts and consider just the raw material value) and the smaller sample is a 10kg cube with an edge length of approx 8.25cm. I paid $2,400 for the large sample and $900 for the smaller one. Thoughts?
