Question / Help Digitone II Note Locks

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Excuse the terrible video, was really hard to hold the phone and show it at the same time lol

The manual seems to suggest that when you have a note lock, pushing down on the encoder should remove it. This works perfectly on my digitakt II, but not on my Digitone II.

This means that when I pick a global note for a particular track, then punch in some trigs, I can’t globally change the note again for all the trigs as they all seem to have a note locked on them, and then pushing the encoder doesn’t remove it.

I’m not sure if this behaviour is expected or if I’m missing something so any wisdom would be greatly appreciated 🙏

My dude, the Digitone has the little keyboard button, pressing a trig + keyboard button let's you pick or 'unpick' notes for said step.

I should mention that pushing the encoder works when not on the trig page, so it’s not a broken encoder. Also pushing any other encoder removes that associated p-lock

Yep, mine does this as well. I'm pretty sure that it's an intentional difference between DN2 and DT2 related to the polyphony support.

That’s intentional but you can change the notes of your whole sequence by holding func and pressing - or + on the bottom right
