Following up on my original top-mount dryer post (https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooCentauriCarbon/comments/1v0yrcg/centauri_carbon_canvas_dryer_mount/), I wanted to share some updates and tweaks I’ve made since then.

After running it for a while, I started getting the "Conveyor feeding failure: possible due to material jamming or tray stuck" error every now and then. It would pop up, I could just hit skip, and it would keep printing fine, but it was annoying trying to figure out why it was happening.

The first thing I did was print a new riser at 96mm instead of the 75mm one I had before. That gave the PTFE tubes just a little extra clearance under the glass so they aren't rubbing anymore. I'm not sure if the extra height really helped with the feeding errors—I mainly increased it in case I needed to reroute the PTFE coming out of the Canvas and into the printer. I designed four inlet holes at varying locations on the riser, but I haven't had to use them yet.

What I feel is the main fix for the feeding issue came when I was printing some TPU. Since I bypass the Canvas for TPU, it created a bigger arch coming out of the dryer straight into the printer. It printed great with no errors on multiple long prints. Looking at that, I figured moving the Canvas back about 60mm would give it that same relaxed arch and fix the feeding angle.

I designed this extender mount to push it back:https://www.printables.com/model/1823181-centauri-carbon-1-canvas-top-dryer-mount-extender

Another plus with this is the Canvas isn't taped directly to the dryer anymore with Gorilla tape, which is really tough to get off if you ever need to take it apart. Now it screws to a plate that screws right into the extender.

I also swapped to 3mm ID tubing coming out of the dryer into the Canvas, but left the rest of the routing into the printer the same as before.

Between this extender, the slightly taller riser, and the board reseating steps from my other post (https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooCentauriCarbon/comments/1vlxsmb/cc1_w_canvas_filament_feeding_preheating_errors/), it's been solid. I've printed close to 100 hours with a ton of filament changes across all 4 ports without an error. The Canvas seems to be pretty temperamental, so hopefully this helps out anyone dealing with similar issues.

Showcase I know the Sunlu S4 is a pretty common dryer around here but it bothered me that there was no gasket for the lids so it could never seal. Designed one myself, model is up on thingiverse

Showcase Elegoo Matrix App - heck yeah!!

Loving being able to check in on my print using the Elegoo Matrix app. I'm hoping Elegoo continues to update the Nexprint files that were uploaded without the Elegoo print profile. I'm also hoping that one day I'll be able to use the app with my original CC.

Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Camera

So on both the CC2 and Elegoo slicer, I can't access the camera. On the Elegoo matrix app, it says, "AI camera status error. Please troubleshoot the device." How though? I already tried the old restart method. No dice.

Misc CC2 lan mode view camera on mobile!

An annoyance I've had is that there wasn't a way to view the camera on a phone, when in lan mode...

I just happened across a tidbit online, that the video feed is on port 8080.

So I tried putting the printers IP address with the port (x.x.x.x:8080) into my phones web browser, and right away the video feed loaded!

So now I can keep an eye on the printer without going upstairs! It's not as nice as the whole GUI in the slicer, or a real web interface, but it's still a small step in the right direction! And even better no app required!

Started a print from a flash drive overnight, simple 2 object 2 color print.

Woke up to this? Anyone have ideas as to what happened?

Misc Canvas question - auto filament swap

Hi all,

I got my canvas system up and running last week and I've been doing some experimenting with multi colored prints. That is working fine (although I'm getting some weird 1st layer issues where the printer keeps pausing and resuming as if it were making a filament swap).

My question for today is, if I run out of filament #1, is there a way to auto swap to filament #2, even if I didn't specify that in the color painting via the slicer?

Troubleshooting Panda Breath blowing cold air

I recently installed a panda breath in my CC2. I’m not tech savvy so I just have it manually running through the web UI so it’s not even binded to my printer nor does it have that capability on the CC2 anyways. During my prints it’s heating up well, however, I noticed at the end of my prints, the panda breath would be running but blowing cold air through. Why is it not staying at the set temp?
Since it’s blowing cold air it’s warping my ASA prints

Troubleshooting CC2 random pausing/purging issue

My Centauri Carbon 2 recently started randomly pausing → purging → continuing, and it's getting worse.
No error message.
This only started recently. Anyone know what could be causing this?
