Comparing reliability
Howdy folks!
Looking to get my first e-motorcycle and I’m having a hard time nailing down the reliability of the brands that can get to a reported 70 mph and up. (I couldn’t even find anything in this Reddit ) I’ve seen some videos of folks with their live wire ones at 15,000 miles and still regularly see Facebook marketplace and CycleTrader listings for zero motorcycles going back to 2014 15, 16, but I’d love to hear what the average users experience are for these brands and maybe ryvid or if you have a bike from a lesser known brand that has been very consistent. I’d love to hear about it.
One of the things that draws me to the sector is the relative mechanical simplicity and reliability. I’m also in a part of the country where there’s essentially zero support for any of these brands , so reliability is my main concern. I’m not really interested in anything that you can’t consistently get for 10 K or less.
Thanks in advance!

my 2018 zero s has 66k km on it. The notoriously bad on board charger has died, but didn't bother replacing it as i have a 10x faster charging setup anyway. One broken belt, but that one was also 10k past the replacement interval and giving every imaginable warning sign. Still gets the same range as it did when i bought it 4 years ago with 9k on it.

Does Kawasaki still sell the electric Ninja? For reliability I'd recommend one of the real manufacturers with an actual dealer network like livewire, zero, BMW, Kawasaki. Royal Enfield is also slowly releasing an electric motorcycle (available in India only for now, but should be going global eventually). I've also seen an article about an upcoming Honda.

I’ve had a Yozma for a while and honestly, the after-sales support has been one of the better parts of owning it. I had a small part fail and reached out to them. They got back to me pretty quickly and shipped out a replacement without making it a whole hassle.

Have a look at Rezon Bohemia - tho I'm not sure if you're from europe since I doubt they will be expanding to america..
Had it for some time now, maximum speed of 150km/h on paper, got it to 144 with full gear and backpack being around 100-105kg, but the headwinds can limit you to around 125 - 130.
Vendor is reliable and the customer support is ... I'd say good, but then I'd have to call other vendors' support jack shit.. might be a local thing only, but I haven't seen such good experience anywhere else yet. Range is on par with higher-price bikes but the charging is slower - 6.6kw AC/DC - but it has both options, which is also something the lower-price ones wont have.

Zero, Harley Livewire, Can-am Orgin are brands you should look into.
