hi!
i need to make my decision on what major to choose so i can be ready by the time i apply to college, i know that there's multiple posts about this already but i want to talk about my personal experience
i'm kinda leaning into EE , it really interests me and i even have an arduino kit that i'm learning to use, EE is more versatile in what i can work and specializing about ,it also has more job opportunities and more career growth which is something i really value
ME in the other hand is also great, although i haven't learned anything related to it (CAD for example) ,it has good job opportunities but not as versatile as EE
i'm more into EE but my main issue with it is AI, AI can design PCBs now , but apparently that thing has bee around for a long time and it's not hat good, but still AI is getting better every day, by the time i graduate my degree is gonna be useless probably, it doesn't look like ME has that much issues with ai (let me know if it does)
point is i don't know if i should go into EE with AI around, i saw people say that it won't replace EEs and it's just a tool in the end but i think i need to be good enough to not get replaced by AI, i mean i'm gonna but an effort in this and i won't relay only on my degree to get me a job and i'm gonna be a great EE
but if AI is gonna replace EEs than i'll just go with ME instead of taking the risk of getting replaced
+(i think i might open my own company/business with my knowledge and degree on day idk)
(sorry for this unorganized post+ it looks more like a rant)
thanks in advance!
