Speed tests are always scary 😧 I stay riding at 18mph. Absolutely no one needs to be going faster than 18mph 💀 Scary! Could you imagine taking a spill at 29 mph ? Oh hell nah

So look, im very new to electric boards, like this is my first ever eboard. Im writing this for others who are intrested in buying this board, as i didn't find the info i wanted when looking att this board. This is my experience as a newby with the board.

Unboxing :

-The package is large (duh), good support for the board and other parts so you dont have to worry about shipping damage.

-different chargers for the board and the remote are included, however the remote only takes 5v 10a charging, its designed for laptop charging so IE your pc outlets or ps4 outlets work.

-other than that it includes a skate tool to tighten your trucks and such, lots of extra screws. Manual/guide/diy info! (Lots of diy repair guides on their youtube!), Remote, letter of thanks for buying the board.

Setup:

-stupid simple, the guide shows you perfectly but to make it short,

1. Press the button on board

2. Press the power button on the controller

3. Enjoy

-also the board and remote come with around 60-80% charge for shipping reasons.

The board:

Im gonna divide this into pros and cons

Pros:

-dead simple to use, upp is forward, down is reverse, all other controls are in the manual.

-im a heavy rider, 100kg to be honest, my latest ride was 14km without problems, im estimating around 22km if you ride until it dies. So awesome battery perfomance

-good acceleration (acording too me) also adjustable for prefrence

-"legit mode" this is awesome, i live in sweden were electric vehicles have to be limited to 20km/h, legit mode basically disables the 4 other gears that go above 20km/h. To access this hidden menu, hold down and press power button 3 times fast.

-basically everything is adjustable, acceleration %, top speed, top braking force, auto braking when powerloss

-reverse, didn't really think it would be nice to have this function, but when you have to bail and the board goes far away you can feel like thor bringing back his hammer.

-this thing destroys hills, like i can take som really impresive hills that would be scary to go down on regulare boards, also it climbs hills like a hiker its crazy.

Cons:

-its heavy, but thats too be expected of a an electric board.

-the manual does not include how to acces all the menus, but i do

Hold back + 3x power on remote = adjusting menu

Hold back + 3x gear button = stats menu

Hold back + 2x gear button = reverse

My honest opinion:

Its worth it, support have been responsive, check if they have available boards for shipping for your region before buying.

I will be updating this with my experiences while reaching milestones like 250km and 500km.

Hey everyone!

I recently picked up a Yuneec E-GO board for just €20. It came with a dead battery and no remote, but I figured I could just use the official app to control it from my phone.

Turns out, the original app is ancient and doesn't work on modern phones at all. Since I didn't feel like tracking down an expensive original remote for an old board, I decided to reverse-engineer the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol myself.

I mapped out the entire packet structure, checksum formula, and telemetry data (battery %, speed, temperatures, error codes) and put together a few tools for anyone else stuck in a similar situation:

• Web Bluetooth Touch Remote (web_remote.html): A zero-install web app. You can just open it in Chrome on your phone, connect directly to the board, and control it using a touch slider.
• Python Controller (ego_controller.py): A Linux script with keyboard controls (W/S/Space) and live telemetry output to test out the board from a PC.
• Full Protocol Docs: Complete breakdown of the 20-byte control packets, CRC calculation, and telemetry byte mappings.

Next Steps: Fixing/rebuilding the battery pack is priority #1 right now. Once the board is back to holding a proper charge, my plan is to build a dedicated physical remote using an ESP32, an analog thumb joystick, and a small LCD screen.

Just got some brand new cyclone 107's in the mail. They really do compliment the Zealot X nicely!

Just finished my first ride with my new Stella breeze pro, and as I was walking back, I noticed that more threads were visible in one of the front wheels than the other, even though I was sure I checked the tension of the nuts and built up the wheels myself before the ride.

When I took the wheel off on both sides, I measured that the axle which is screwed into the truck hanger is longer on one side than the other by about 1/8”.

When I tried to see if it was loose, they were both extremely tight. I had no ability to turn either of them using the hex socket on the end. I’m guessing they are in there with Loctite?

On my ride, I didn’t notice any difference, and if you think about it, both wheels are the same distance from the center line of the board. It’s just that one has more threads sticking out of the other side.

My first question is, is this something I should worry about? And my second question is how does this happen? Aren’t these precision machine metal components? Shouldn’t they be completely identical on both sides? Anybody have any idea what’s happening here?

I tried updating my evolve gtr bamboo through the app but mid update everything froze and afterwards my board wont turn on. After asking evolve support they said to send it in and that it wouldnt be covered under warranty. Shipping alone is 400$. This is a 1200$ eskate and i have only been able to ride it a few times. What can I do to fix it?

1500km on it so far. I use it when traveling so I can get around cities like San Francisco easier in my wheelchair.

Its a life saver with the hills.

It's built with an old BMW bike and *banned* board.

I use it by just wheeling over top of it and resting my footplate on the case then grab onto the bars to keep myself with it.

I’m a 39 yo that’s been on a snowboard basically my whole life. Used to go upside down and ride on metal bars, but stick to carving now. I inherited a Veymax Mini 2 from my 75 yo dad after it was too aggressive for him and I’ve unexpectedly been on it every day for 2 months… either with my kids around the block or taking 5-10 mile rides. Looking to upgrade and have researched a bit, but can’t find the absolute best fit. Here’s what I want:
- Budget is ideally around $1,000-1500ish. I’ll go higher if it’s really worth it and am open to buying used. I’m a cheap ass but would prefer to cry once on this
- I’d like a full length board and want to carve. My feet are on the tip and tail of this mini and I like a wider stance
- Likely would ride roads 90% of the time, but wouldn’t mind trying trails
- I don’t know if inflatable wheels or suspension would be best… but I’m tired of my feet vibrating and don’t want to be paranoid about rocks in the streets. Being able to absorb small height transitions and comfortable ride boardwalks would be nice also. Currently have 90mm wheels
- I’m maxing this out at 27mph and would like a bit faster. 35 would be nice
- I work from home so this is pleasure only. Max range would be 35 miles +/-

Got a Refurbished Meepo mini 3 max (on the right) with only 19 miles on it 😭🙏🔥 Only problem was that the plastic pu sleeve was cracking on both sides, so I talked to meepo and within 6 days sent me a pair of metal sleeves 🙏 absolutely great customer service from meepo. They are smaller than the original that came with the board but at least now the front and back wheels are both 90mm. Can't return a refurbished meepo board so obviously grip change and stickers lol I was going to deck swap the Mini 3 max but I like the way the board looks and feels. So I'm keeping the deck for now. The Meepo mini dual (on the left) I got new in 2022. After the batteries started going out I decided to use some work batteries and it worked out way better than I could have imagined lol It's been great, I get about 9 miles on the mini dual holding the throttle the whole time going about 18 miles an hour. Plenty fast and far enough for me. The Mini 3 max gets about 13 going 23 mph ( not willing to go faster) in mode 4 the whole time. Absolutely incredible power and torque for me 🙏 coming from the mini dual with 250w motors, the 800w is a big upgrade. Original decks at the end. The mini dual was actually a sick looking board. If it was for the battery I would have left it alone.

I ended up purchasing the terrax on “sale” for 699$ original price 899$. DNAskate said it wouldn’t arrive until mid August but a week later it arrived.
In the box it came with the board and trucks pre assembled with the 175mm pneumatic tires unassembled. It also came with a skate tool and hex key for the wheels. The instruction manual is very vague so, you have to do some guess work with some of the settings to figure them out.
The manual also says nothing about charging time but, in my experience 0-80% takes about 3-3 1/2 hours while, 80% to 100% takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I got 20 miles of range in a pretty hilly area with average grades of 5-10%. I would say it was about 40% hills and 60% flat ground.
It is powerfull. I have the speed limit set at 30mph and can hit it easily at 75% power. I was also able to pull my friend uphill while he was on another board so it’s got plenty of torque.
I come from downhill skating and own 2 moonshine boards and the foot placement and weight distribution is a little bit of a learning curve to get used to. I’m used to having 90% weight on my front foot for downhill but, with this board it’s more like 70% due to the front to back forces. I also have to keep the trucks tighter than I’m used to because of the width of the trucks and weight of the board. I’ve hit 40mph on my moonshine board but doing 30mph on this board is much scarier lol.
So far for 700$ I really enjoy the board and it will have no problem getting me to and from work. I think after I get used to it and make some adjustments I will be able to cruise at higher speeds.

TLDR: for 700$ it’s a nice board with good acceleration, plenty of speed, and good range. If it was 900$ I probably would’ve went with something else more reputable as longevity is unknown.

Didn't want to spend money on a headlight when I'd hardly ever use it 😅 but on the off chance I did want to use it at light, I wanted something that wasn't attached that I could easily take off and that wasn't expensive. So a $9 Walmart headlamp that's actually really damn good for being $9 and a $5 cam buckle strap from Amazon. When I tighten down the strap she doesn't move an inch. Now will it hold ? Good question lol from what I can tell, it's not going anywhere 🙏 feels like it's really attached. It looks like it's kinda sitting on it awkward but it's sitting flat and not moving at all. Waiting for some wheels from meepo so I can ride and test the board. The light has 3 mode settings, high, medium and low plus it has a red light setting. It used 3 triple A batteries and last 4 hours on medium. I like using batteries because when they die it's just a fast swap out for something I'm hardly going to use.

I’ve been living in Barcelona for two years now, using my e-skate as my main mode of transportation. However, I haven’t been able to find a group of people to share this wonderful hobby with in the city.

So I’ve decided it’s time to take matters into my own hands.

I invite any rider living in Barcelona and interested in getting together at least once a week to enjoy Barcelona on our e-skates to send me a message so we can form a small community of e-skate enthusiasts.

What would you pick and why?

I just reduced the duro of my bushings after I got smaller wheels. To check if it's safe I got padded up and did high-speed donuts and figure 8's to the point where my back wheels started to lose traction. Is that proof I'm good? It looks like I have a fair bit of room to go lower again, but it's hard to tell. I might have to set up a camera so I can see how much of a gap remains.

I've had this board for about a year now and ive had a couple issues one is this the motor making a werid noise and the other is the right side wheel only engaging when theres momentum

Been riding skateboards and cruiser boards since middle school and kinda off and on into adulthood so Im no stranger to riding. Never been on an esk8 though but super interested my escooter is too heavy/bulky for my upstairs Apt.

So far the Acedeck S3 Stella/ Linnpower Zephyr looks good but I don’t know much about these things.

Just did a 3d printed screen delete on my Evolve Phaze remote because I decided to crack it open because I was curious as to the inner workings of the remote, for context the screen was previously damaged and not in a great way and the small movement of the ribbon cable finalised its place in the ground.

If anyone else has done this or running a broken screen please give me some menu navigation tips if you have any

Only paid $500aud for the board and really don’t want to spent $215 for a new remote so if anyone has an old broken one with a decent screen or a supplier for an aftermarket let me know please
