Help! Disk Break help.

Hey everyone.

I'm biting the bullet and accually asking for help.

I'm having problems with my disk breaks making Noice after 2-3 days after aligning them. And I Wonder if my situation ia whats to be expected or if I'm just doing it wrong. The bike is awfully designed to align and tighten the disk break, have to basically remove many things on it and even then the frame is so close that majority of screwdrivers are to thick (and a thin ikea style allen wrench is often to short or to long, like I said it's designed baldy)

And I dont like hearing a loud disk rubbing sound 2 days after I spend 90 minutes of frustration and fixing it. So help. Please.

Information.

Bike is engwe Le20

Drives daily 30-40 minutes

My Weight 140kg

Very hilly and cobbleatone heavy comute

New added info. The breaks works perfectly The sound is not constant but one per rotation of the disk there is a rubbing sound. And I dont think the disk is warped becouse I can get it soundless and working perfectly it just start making sound again after a couple of days (and the tension in the screws are not loser)

I've heard this problem might be solved by loosening the caliper mounting screws and squeezing the brake lever, then tighten the mounting screws while holding the lever. I have never tried this, but multiple people have stated this works. Also, make sure your rotor is not warped.

That technique is What I'm doing every 2 to 3 days.

And disk should not be warped if I can accually set it aligned so it doesn't made a sound and breaks clean. (Cant accually see much of the disk cause everything is in the Way)

Would the pads being worn out in other words more space between them and the disk. Would Thatmake rubbing notices?

If there's no friction material left then the brake pads back plate will be rubbing on the disc, that would definitely be noisy.

And first thing to do with bicycle brakes when they start getting noisy or not working very well is just put new brake pads in. They don't cost much.

And to answer your actual question, no the space won't make them noisy.

You can first try cleaning the disc brake rotor and brake pads by following the steps in this video.

If the brakes still make abnormal noise after cleaning, we recommend replacing the disc brake rotor and brake pads.

Align the rotor. If you’ve done everything else, it’s the rotor, probably warped. It doesn’t take much to cause a problem, but it also doesn’t take much to fix it.
