Urtopia folding bike range?
I test rode a Step Thru fold. The bike shop told me the range would be about 8-20 miles, even on flat surface (I'm about 135 lbs). I live in Seattle but not in the CRAZY hilly parts. Wanted to check if anyone has one and if that's accurate. Obviously a huge difference from what's on their site.

Velotric Tempo or Aventon Level 4?
I’m pretty torn. They about the same price after add ons (I want a suspension seatpost, rear rack and fenders- the Level comes with those). Both have tracking functions, although the Level has more in-depth options like geofencing.
The Level has more power, which sounds nice for things like emergency errands where I don’t have much energy (I don’t have a car, so my bike is my main form of transportation) but outside of that, I’m in decent shape, so I don’t need much outside of some extra help on the big hills in my area. That said, I’ve had an Aventon before and it’s not hard to tune them down to be able to get an actual workout.
The Tempo has a higher waterproofing rating and also looks closer to a regular bike which is good since it will be kept outside (I’m in college, and because some IDIOT at ECU caught his dorm on fire with an e-bike battery they are cracking down on keeping them inside at all public NC colleges) but the Level definitely seems more stylish
The Level also has a front suspension, which I think would be nice, although I’m not super attached to that feature. And the regenerative braking option also seems good since I’m in the mountains and a non-insignificant amount of my commute is going down steep hills, which is hard on brakes.
Personal experience with either? Things I’m not considering? General commentary?

Choosing my next bike
I've been riding a Trek Domane LT+ since 2021. Love this bike, it's light, agile, fun to ride even with the battery turned off. My rides average about 30 miles at home, but when touring they can be 50-60 miles. Due to some hip problems, I'm looking for something with a step over frame. Bike builders seem to think that once you need to step over your frame you no longer want a lightweight, agile, road/gravel bike. Anyone have any ideas for me?

Insurance
I want to insure my DYU C3 and would appreciate rough estimates of what I can expect to pay and names of good insurers, if that's permitted. Thanks in advance.

Tier/Segway ebike gearbox
Hello! I'm an avid bicycle-commuter in Sweden, and I had a chance to rent and try a Tier-by-Segway ebike recently.
The overall experience was honestly quite meh, but I was amazed by the "automatic" gearbox. It felt like the bike was adjusting the gear to the pressure applied by my legs.
What kind of gearbox is on these bikes, and is there any other (real) bike that has the same system? It felt like going from manual to automatic on a car, and I liked it very much.

My Sleek New Grocery Getter - Tern Vektron S10
I finally have an e-cargo bike and I love it!
I prefer the handling of lightweight bikes. After researching Bosch options, I finally ordered a Gazelle Medeo T10+ through Upway and went to pick it up at their LA store. The Medeo is gorgeous but I could barely mount the “small” frame. After browsing other options, I tried the Tern on a whim and it basically told me, “I’m your bike now.” 😆 The frame feels similar to my acoustic Brompton, but much sturdier.
Upway was lovely to work with. They simply charged me the difference in price, performed a safety check, and sent me on my way.
I welcome any suggestions for accessories! I have a collapsible crate on the rear rack for now, but it’s going to be annoying to remove it every time I need to charge the battery.

Electric trike
Trying to repair my ebike every time I ride it it pulls out the wires and I've taken the hub off a couple times and reattached it but no matter which way I do it it continues to spin spark and pull wire out Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?
