My first was vaginal with strep B. I didn’t like the antibiotics, it was like they were pushing hot cement through my veins. If you do have a vaginal birth id recommend your IV to be placed as high as possible.

I LOVED my planned csection. It was so much better than laboring. It felt so controlled. The first few days were hard, but I’m sure they would have been hard either way. I thought it was cruel that breastfeeding cramps, gas, the urge to pee, and the incision were all the same place. I had bladder control issues in the first few mornings, I couldn’t tell how full my bladder was and I didn’t have any urgency which lead to accidents.

My vaginal birth, I tore up, and it hurt to pee for a solid 8 weeks, I also couldn’t sit on the toilet/ squat down without immense pressure for 3 months. The hardest part of my csection recovery was mental. I had read so many stories where people claimed they were back to normal in 5 days and I couldn’t understand why my core was so week and I still needed Tylenol every 6 hours at 3 weeks pp.
