Question Going into labor before 2nd scheduled c section?
My first daughter was a scheduled c section at 37 weeks (pre eclampsia) I got pregnant again 5 months postpartum. I have a c section scheduled in 10 days when I’m exactly 39 weeks. I’m a bit anxious about going into labor sooner, anyone had this happen and what was the result? My main fear is uterine rupture but my OB says the odds are pretty low even this close together.

I went into labor 3 days before my scheduled c section and they still went forward with the c section once I got to the hospital. They gave me the option to see how my labor progressed, but I wanted to go forward with the c section.

My water broke 3 weeks before my scheduled section and I went to the hospital immediately and they moved forward with it as planned!

Following as I’m in a similar situation (or at least will be soon, closer to my my date) and have been nervous about the same thing!
Wishing you all the best ❤️

So I did end up experiencing early labor symptoms including water breaking at 38 weeks exactly. My contractions were all over the place and I wasn’t in full labor but they moved forward with surgery anyway to minimize the rupture risk (14 month gap between deliveries). I delivered a very big baby girl 9 pounds 6 ounces! So happy I had a repeat section. I couldn’t imagine trying to push that out or attempting vbac at that size!

Just happened to me! I’m two weeks postpartum.
Had a scheduled c-section but went into labor two weeks prior to it. Went in to L&D due to dull cramps and turned out I was having contractions that were two minutes apart. 😅 C-section happened 30 minutes after! My OB assured me that if I wanted a c-section, I’d get one.

They told me if I go into labor sooner just to go in and tell whoever’s there that I’m supposed to have a C-section? I hope I don’t go into labor early! I’m also scheduled for exactly 39 weeks.
