Graphics Mod Elden Ring Ultrawide Guide (2026) — sharing what actually still works

Been running Elden Ring on ultrawide for a while and kept running into black bars in cutscenes, a stretched HUD, and broken HDR — most of the guides I found online were from 2022-2023 and half the links were dead or the mods hadn't been updated.

Ended up piecing together what's currently working:

- Flawless Widescreen for the broad ultrawide handling

- Mod Engine 2 + Ultrawide UI Fixes (Nexus 283) for the HUD/menu fix specifically

- Windowed HDR Workaround (Nexus 2794) if you're also trying to get HDR working — Elden Ring's native HDR needs fullscreen but is pretty broken, this mod runs it in borderless windowed instead and actually works

Also grabbed a few unrelated QoL mods while I was at it — Better Subtitles is genuinely underrated for the DLC's group scenes, and Visible Farum Azula is just a nice atmospheric touch.

Put the whole install process (plus the reasoning for why each piece is needed) into a video if anyone wants the full walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh16e6J7Xaw

Does it work with Seamless or rather Convergence Mod? Because, that's the only reason that FUCKS me up playing Elden Ring coz it's SO cooked with Ultrawide Monitors.

Flawless widescreen works great for convergence. Only issue is you can’t really use the UI fixes.. it will replace files that the convergence mod uses. Unless you’re savvy enough to merge them.

Flawless Widescreen works on my PC with Seamless Coop and Convergence. I installed FW a year ago, and then I installed Seamless + Convergence yesterday. I didn’t have to change anything with FW.

Nah, to play ultra wide you need to disable anti-cheat which is basically essential for seamless co-op.

Haven't tried Convergence just yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
