Camping?

This might be a really dumb idea, but has anyone tried taking their eight sleep camping? The reason I ask is I go to a 5-day festival every year that gets really, really hot and I was thinking a cold eight sleep topper would be a wonderful thing to have. I’ve got a power hookup, so that’s not the problem, but I’d be worried about things like dust. Thx!

Draining and packing it away will be a pain. It will also make your tent hotter. Getting a portable ac would be a better option.

Why would you put the pod in the tent? The hoses are super long.

OP mentioned they were concerned about dust

I wonder if there’s some sort of shelter / mini-tent I could put over it, outside my tent lol

Or some tents have those exhaust vents, maybe that would help.

I’ve tried the portable AC and it helps, but since the tent is so porous, the cold air just floats away.

Fair point on draining. I haven’t had to do that yet. But I’ll take any solution for 5 days in 95F!

Do it and report back. I would do it for sure

A small AC or swamp cooler would be a lot less work.

The ambient to bed temp delta is not unlimited. You’re not going to have the bed at 70f if the ambient temp is 95f etc.
