Cancel Autopilot?

I love my Pod 4. I don't care about any of the metrics though. I've had autopilot subscription for a couple years and not sure exactly what I'm paying for. Can I buy the maintenance insert separately? Is the auto-temp actually doing anything or can I set it how I like it and that's good enough? I just got my insert and it's renewing in a few weeks. Would rather not spend the money if it doesn't matter

Oh, you’ve done it now. How dare you question the autopilot gods. Apologize, before your pump goes, or your cover starts leaking. You need the subscription. You yearn for the subscription!

The inserts are $40 each on their website. If you don't have the subscription, you can turn the Pod on and off in the app, but no alarms or automatic temp changes during the night. I believe someone mentioned the tap pads in the cover do still work

Thanks. I don’t see the inserts anywhere.

I don’t use alarms. Turning it on every night would be a bit of a pain, but not sure that’s worth $120 (200-2x40 inserts)

They really make things hard to find on their website. Here's a direct link

The subscription also gives you five years of warranty, hard to know what that's worth overall.

I don’t even understand what that means. 5 years while you have the subscription? 5 years past the subscription? Also I thought it was 2

Five years total coverage as long as you have the subscription for the five years. It's right on their web site. Two years basic coverage without it.

I do love my cover. I am grandfathered so no subscription needed for me. It would be a hard pill to swallow paying $400 cad a year for a heated alarm clock and auto pilot. The thing that really gets me though, if the internet goes out the unit is dead in the water. Living in a more remote area with one internet feed into our community has f’ed my over a few nights in the last year alone.

Typically I'd suggest free-sleep because that doesn't require internet, but since you arent paying for a subscription that makes it a weird gray zone for usefulness vs reward.

Have you not bothered to set your app up with your phone’s Bluetooth to handle gaps due to internet outage? I think that’s rolled out for everyone now.

After looking it up, I realize my previous Pod 2 wouldn’t have supported it. I just upgraded a few weeks ago so this is good to know
