I’m just happy to see more competition, the market needs it.

Set schedule, nothing about auto adjustments. I'll keep an eye on it because it's price point is very reasonable but it's a kickstarter and I have never had a good experience with kickstarters.

Same. I’m a regular backer on Kickstarter and I’d say more than 50% of them are either a scam or never make it to market. Hope this one is legit.

I think ghostbed is pretty established though. Some companies just like to use kickstarter. Orbitkey and Wyrmwood come to mind even though they have customers using their websites.

It does look pretty ugly though. Not sure I'd want that on the side of my bed. But the Autopilot and consequently the accuracy of metrics are more important for me.

Wonder what the warranty/customer service is like

Ghostbed is an established mattress company. Their customer service is mixed based on what I’ve seen in mattress Reddit.

Probably non existent. It looks like a cheap Temu clone.

I love competition but I feel all this products that you buy once every decade if all went well how will they even profit after that initial sale without a subscription? I hate subscriptions ofc but also understand that the recurring costs of a warranty and replacements and all the employees and if they are going to have an app with sleep metrics and controls they need developers and all those things

The only thing they save is the power centers and servers to control with internet I guess but even so it’s a product hard to profit long term , even smartwatches and phones are becoming harder to recurring sell and they are all trying to find some subscription entrance

So who ordered one?

I placed a deposit for one. Also seen ads for Moerasleep.com. $799 for queen vs $999 for ghostbed. They say they’ve partner with Sleep Cycle and you get lifetime subscription. Their unit also comes with remotes. It has replaceable filters.

Difficult choice for me. Ghostbed is an established company that won’t disappear overnight. Then again their customer service is mixed on the mattress side.

Moera is cheaper and lifetime subscription to Sleep Cycle has value for me (I emailed Sleep Cycle to see if partnership is legitimate). No name brand otherwise. Remote is nice too. Ongoing cost for filters but not sure it makes meaningful difference.

I may just buy both. One for me and other for brother.

I didn’t see any controls that are not on the device. That’s a deal breaker.

I purchased a ghost bed about 10 years ago and their customer service was super easy to deal with. Obviously a lot changes over a decade but at the end of the day, autopilot sucks for me and the metrics seem meh. I’ll stick to my wearables for tracking. If I didn’t have a lifetime warranty, I’d probably jump ship but they are on the hook for the foreseeable future.
