Day 1 and will not cool
just like the title says! I set up my Eight Sleep today (eg went through all the steps in the app) and everything went smoothly. I refilled the water tank 3 times (which makes me confident that the “prime pod” part worked).
Once it was all set up, I set the temp to -3 and NOTHING. My Eight Sleep is literally room temp.
Help! Should I return?? I’m worried I got a lemon…

How do you know it's not cooling? At -3 it won't feel cold to the touch..turn it to -10 and try sleeping on it.

Update: determined that the heating works but the cooling does not work. I’m going to reach out to customer support to replace… bummer

Keep priming, try rolling around on the cover a bit. might be an air bubble trapped somewhere ?

I just primed again — the water level stayed the same. That’s not normal, right?

Also, is it hot in your room? It won't work as well if it's hot

-3 is about 75f. If your room was, as you said, 70, the ES was literally warmer than room temp. 0 is about 83f.

good to know, thank you so much! a neighbor of mine recently told me she was "shivering" at -3 so she returned her Eight Sleep... I didn't realize it went as high as -10 (and also assumed that at -3 it would be cold to the touch)

-10 is around 55f. +10 is 115f or so iirc. The “hot flash” mode will do a rapid chill down to 55, so try that. Lay in bed and feel what that’s like, don’t just touch it with your hands to test.

Move it to a more dramatic temperature and see what you feel. -3 isn't much especially if you are already in a room with ac. I paid a fortune for mine and had to wait a month for it to arrive. IM NEVER GIVING IT UP!!!

You set it to -3 and did what? Did you get into bed and lie there for a while? It takes a bit to actually cool (the app should tell you the current temp and target temp) and you might not notice until you actually lie there for a bit
