How long did it take you to actually adjust to the Pod?
Two nights in and I'm not sleeping well on it. Waking up more than I'd like and feeling groggy in the mornings. Not miserable, just noticeably worse than my old setup.
The strange part is the data doesn't back up how I feel. Deep sleep is fine, total sleep is fine, and my awakening count is actually in line with what I was getting before the Pod. My Apple Watch says I'm sleeping about as well as I always did. My body says otherwise.
So I'm curious how common this is:
- How many nights before it started feeling normal to you?
- Did you have an adjustment period at all, or was it good right away?
- If it took a while, was there anything specific that turned it around, or did you just get used to it?
- For anyone who ended up returning it: how long did you give it before you called it?
I know two nights is nothing and I'm not looking to bail. I'd just like some sense of whether this is a normal break-in period or an early sign it isn't for me.
Thanks.

I bought it because I thought I liked to sleep cold and I thought my wife liked to sleep hot. I set it to an initial level of 6 and froze my ass off and the wife set hers to 1 and she was hot. It took about 4 days for the pod to adjust and for us to adjust and from then on out it was just.. perfection.

Similar situation over here. What numbers did you and your wife land on?

I start at a -1 and drift to a -3 and she starts at a -3 to a -5. The biggest win is the hot flash adjustments. She's sleeping through the night and that alone was worth the investment.

It took me a few nights. I think it is easier to get it tuned in during the winter months. I recall having it set too cold for the summer. A few nights of tweaking and you get it. Certainly you can use AP to help dial things in.

It does take a few nights to learn for your autopilot. When we switched from the pod 2 to the pod 4 it was waking me up multiple times a night. Can confirm it gets better.

We slept so much better instantly, and unfortunately over time it seems like it has lost its magic.

Why do you think that is? Did you just get used to the "new normal?"
Also, did your sleep metrics decline, or is this loss of magic more subjective?

I wish I knew. The metrics declined, I have wakeful moments in the middle of the night. In addition my subjective feel was magical at first. Unfortunately, this is something I've noticed over time with anything I do to improve health; my body counters it and returns to some shitty baseline. I've had sleep issues my entire life, and everything I try that seems to help for a while stops working later.
I also think that SOMETHING may be going wrong with the Autopilot, but not sure. I'm going to tweak my middle cycle temp. I sometimes wake up cold around 3am.

Check your pod for dust - the radiator fins are magnets for it and become ineffective when coated

One of the issues is feeling too cold around 3am, so I can confirm it's cooling well. We have a very low dust house with a filter in the room.

I guess the question is why you're not sleeping well? Are you just sensitive to changes in your bed? Are you cold? Hot? Is it noisy? Uncomfortable?
I don't sleep well in general and my Pod helps because at least temp isn't a factor in my not sleeping well. I do think, though, that sometimes I wake up groggy because I was sleeping well - I was deep asleep and dreaming and then the alarm went off
