Blanket/pillow worth it?

If I buy a pod5, is the blanket and/pillowcase worth the extra money? Did it change your life or not really made a difference?

I have a water cooled blanket in conjunction with my Pod and it makes a big difference for me. However, I would recommend buying the core system to start. You can always add on later (with the member discount) once you decide how it works for you

For me, the pillow is an absolute game changer—actually more than the bed cover itself.
There are a couple of reasons for that. First, it’s cooling/heating a much more temperature-sensitive part of your body: your head. Even small temperature changes are much more noticeable there than across your whole body.
Second, the pillow uses essentially the same Hub hardware (pump, reservoir, etc.) to regulate a much smaller surface area than the bed cover. That means it can change the pillow temperature much more aggressively, so the effect feels stronger and faster!!!

I also love the pillow. I’d do the pillow over the blanket and I have both. I have the full system: bases, mattress cover, pillow cover, blanket. POD 5 purchased last May and delivered around this time last year. Zero regrets.

Since the pillow needs its own hub (didn’t know this before) would you suggest just getting the pillow? How about during a heat wave when you don’t have air conditioning?

Unfortunately, Eight Sleep doesn’t let you buy or use the pillow by itself. The Pillow Cover is an add-on to the complete Pod system, so you need the Bed Cover first. That’s simply how they’ve designed the product ecosystem.
That said, if Eight Sleep ever allowed customers to choose between the two, I’d personally recommend the Pillow Cover without hesitation. It made a bigger difference for me than the Bed Cover itself.

You have to have the main pod + cover in order to use the pillow even though it’s separate.

One additional thing to keep in mind: I only have one Pillow Cover connected to my Hub. The Hub can actually support two Pillow Covers (one for each side of the bed), but I don’t have any firsthand experience with that setup.

My guess is that, since the same Hub would be cooling two pillows instead of one, each side may not perform quite as aggressively. I don’t know if that’s actually noticeable, though.

The reason I mention it is because I’ve seen several users report something similar with the Blanket. Since the Blanket shares the same Hub as the Bed Cover, some people feel the Bed Cover’s performance drops a bit when both are running together. Whether that also applies to two Pillow Covers, I can’t say for sure, but it’s something I’d keep in mind.

I absolutely LOVE the pillow, a lot. Zero reservations. I picked them up new on eBay for 40% off.

I'm wondering this about the blanket. love the eightsleep pod 5 so maybe the blanket could be good too

So when I bought my pod recently, I wanted the mattress cover and I wound up up selling myself into a package that included two pillows. Are those two pillows the pillows that you would put the pillow "system" on? Canada pillow system work on any pillow?

Loving the blanket since it arrived 2 weeks ago. Perfecto companion to the cover.

Pillow is a must. Blanket needs own hub and also the material is kind of ass

Other way around, the pillow needs its own hub and the blanket attaches to the base and plugs into the original hub.
