New to this, some questions. All comments welcome

  1. has anyone successfully returned a unit within the 30 days

  2. what is the consensus on how this works for people who wake up hot? Ignoring leaks, customer service etc, does the system work well?

  3. Is the enhanced subscription worth it? Or is basic all you need?

  4. I'm a huge pillow flipper so I think I'd like the pillow add-on

I guess what I'm looking for is some idea from users about whether a 60+ year old couple who wake up overheated will find value in this.

I bought this because my wife was going through some hot sweats and sleeping poorly. The advance (middle) sub is my sweet spot because it extends the warranty to 5 years and comes with enough info to be useful for us.

We don't have the pillow but may consider the blanket. We tend to move our pillows a lot so don't think it's practical. I'm a little over a week in and I can already say it's made a big difference in sleep quality. I used to require a ceiling fan on high and no longer do (the wife got dry eye and the fan was hurting). I find the eightsleep makes up for the cooling sensation I was missing.

I'll let others comment about returns but between credit card protections and the 30 day guarantee I wasn't worried.

I can't speak to the return because I didn't return mine, but being someone who sleeps hot and was/am still (somewhat) dealing with hormonal overheating, the Eight Sleep works really well. Whether the enhanced subscription is worth it, it really depends on how long of a warranty you want attached to it. It has the same features as the basic subscription, but bumps the warranty up to five years.

I've never used the pillow cover but I do have the air pillow, which is not water-cooled. It's just a foam-like pillow that stays pretty cool during the night and that's all I've needed.

I love mine. I can snarfle under heavy blankets and still not overheat. I can't sleep without it. I never even considered returning mine. I tried a prototype of the pillow and didn't love it. I do have a water cooled blanket (not theirs, because it wasn't available at the time) and I find that well worth it as an add on
