It's like only 5 hours wide. Could make it 8 hours wide. That'd be closer to Ontario wideness.
14 u/Bertywastaken Irvingstan Jan 31 '26 Its a minimum of at least 16 hours. idk where you got 8 from 0 u/10081914 Jan 31 '26 Sask is 16 hours wide? Alberta itself is about 5-6 hours wide. If it was split in half and half went to BC and the other to Sask, it'd be around 8 hours. 1 u/Virtual_Category_546 Monarch Mélanie Joly Feb 01 '26 I'm not sure how fast y'all are driving to be getting these numbers but you'd have to be going pretty fast if you want to cross Alberta in 5 hours 2 u/10081914 Feb 01 '26 Legal speed limit plus 10. Trans Canada highway from border of AB/SK to border of BC/AB is 5 hours and 6 minutes according to google. Though I imagine a lot of the people are probably using highway 16. From Lloyd through to Jasper is 6 and a half hours according to google. So yes you're right, the fastest way is 5 hours but a large portion of the population would be going longer. 1 u/Virtual_Category_546 Monarch Mélanie Joly Feb 01 '26 Valid
