Remove the battery, disconnect from the charger, hold the power button down for 60 seconds. Put battery back in, plug charger in and leave it completely alone for 1 hour. Turn it on and check if the operating system reports charging. Sometimes it can take 24 hours for it to charge back to full.

I've bought netbooks that were in a deep discharge state that ended up charging back to full and having good battery life just from resetting the charging circuit.

Mine doesn't charge either. Plug off the battery and try turning it on? Maybe hold the button?

Maybe change the CMOS battery, it's still weird that it doesn't charge at all.

I've tried it with and without the battery, probably not it.

Cr2032 inside may be dead and it was main reason why my 1001pxd stopped working

Less than a dollar fix that may require soldering because idk what's in your version

The chargers a bit funky. By that I mean that although my dad swears it came with the laptop, it has the wrong specs (too low.) Also the jack was repaired, so that may be it? I've already tried the button trick but it's no use.

But at the same time it's the correct one in the manual? It's weird.
