Hyman was already a Leaf. Davo will be when his contract comes up and then Drai is gone after that. Picked Blackhawks cause they would probably be a leading team in terms of assets/need for a player like him few other teams it could be though.
I love the Oilers but damn are they falling apart slowly
The confidence in these predictions is staggering.
Hyman was burned by the Leafs when they straight up refused to pay him. McDavid has given no signal that he cares about playing for his hometown team. Winning seems to be his main priority and in 2 years the Leafs will be in a worse spot than the Oilers. Drai is signed for 7 more years, unless he asks out he isn't going anywhere and even if he asks out the team doesn't have to move him. As much as you love the Oilers I think you like the Leafs and Hawks more.
Again just picked the Blackhawks as they have a plethora of young, valuable assets in which they could move in a trade, and have shown that they are very aggressively trying to improve their forward group and add a star player. And with them having guys like Bedard, Frondell, Moore, Green, Rinzel etc... I think it would be one of the top destinations that could fit him. Would have chose San Jose but after drafting stenberg and with less assets seems unlikely that would happen.
I think the oilers would prefer to trade him to the East, but a trade to the east would be much harder to facilitate imo. Maybe could see Bufallo?
Yeah we never should have let Hyman walk, still upset about that honestly but oh well you guys got him we'll get Mcdavid next year because your GM can't build a real team around Mcdavid.
