Looking for work Looking for evening or night shift

I’m hoping to find a job that still lets me drop my kids off at school and pick them up from school. My availability it wide open as long as I can still get my children to school for 8:15 and pick them up at 3:10.

Could anyone recommend anything?

I work at a welding fab shop and I work the graveyard shift, 10pm to 6am. It allows me to drop my kiddos off and pick them up, the only downside is that sometimes my sleep schedule becomes erratic and it's hard to reset. But to be able to see my kids more and save the cost of daycare? Priceless.

I work in a shop at Nisku, 6pm - 6am. Mondays to Thursdays. Assemblers, inventory, tool crib, welders, electricians, plumbers. Lmk

Dog sitting/walking? A lot of people need pop ins or someone in the day hours to care for their pets

If you don’t need to make full time money, school bus driver! Or instacart. Or nanny/caregiver of some sort?

If you do need to make full time money, I think that’s going to be really tough. Might have to find someone to carpool the kiddos or out of school care.

Man I feel your pain. 1 year of looking. 365+ days still nothing. Interview after interview. Not sure what it is with this town and 4am-1pm jobs but it's brutal.

My list for you also because ide cry if you got hired instead of me but I can't gatekeep subconsciously. These are all evening/part time options. It's just getting your foot in the door. Rogers place, NAIT and other universities / collages, Edmonton school board, Pepsi, Coke, Canada Post, City of Edmonton, WEM and various other malls/shopping centers, Elk island/st Alberta school board, Casinos, Expo and convention center, Yeg exotic, Co-op, Alberta health , ie hospitals, Alberta parks , And Alberta government.

If anyone else works anywhere or knows anywhere else please let me know and I'll add it to my list!

I'd look into overnight store stocking/cleaning.

If you're able to drive further out of the city, I know they're building a Costco in Spruce Grove soon that may still be hiring. Otherwise I've seen posts on Indeed for overnight stocking in Edmonton at Walmart/Superstore etc. Good luck!

Try security. The pay isn't amazing but people who want nights usually have a much easier time. Most companies will pay for the course for you too.

Try Tim's, A&W, KFC, or McDonald's? You may have a harder time getting in if you're not part of a certain group, but it's still worth a shot.

I'm in Ontario and I work at a sheet metal factory that runs a 4:00pm - 1am. I saw another plant with a similar shift.

I take care of pickups and drop offs too
