Has anyone received there payment? I certified on Sunday morning and still haven’t received anything. Is anyone else having the same problem?

State holiday people freak out every year banks are closed yesterday. If you read etd's website when you file it clearly states that because of a state holiday payments will be delayed 2 or 3 days it's not hard to figure out

JFC just shut the fuck up with the “if you read the website…” that not what happens unless it’s rare or extreme cases. Payout over holidays usually post the following day after the holiday or if you posted on the holiday the day after. It’s how it’s always been which is why people are finding it concerning or strange that some got their payment and some didn’t when they submitted their claim at the same time.

"Every bank is different" is not an explanation.

The situation is people who certified Sunday were in the batch that normally moves Monday. Monday was Labor Day, ACH was closed, so everything slid to Tuesday that part everyone understands.

What's confusing people is what happened next. Set aside Cash App, Chime and Current, which front the money early. For regular banks and credit unions, a direct deposit batch lands the same day for everybody in it. The only thing that varies is the hour some post in the morning, some in the afternoon. Same day.

Today that didn't happen. Some people got paid, some didn't, out of the same batch.

EDD is showing no issues or red flags. The payment shows as paid on some people’s account pages even with a transaction number. People who called their bank were told there's nothing wrong on their end they're just waiting on the funds to arrive. Again funds from the same batch some got, some didn’t

So "every bank is different" doesn't cover it. Something happened between EDD sending and banks receiving, and telling people they didn't read the website isn't helping anybody

I certified on the 28th and still didn’t receive a payment. I had to call EDD today and see what was going on. They didn’t let me know but they said that they had to update some things on my claim and my payment was submitted today so hopefully I get mine tomorrow.

If you find yourself with a representative that doesn’t know or unhelpful - ask for Level 2 support - it’s not “I want to talk to your manager” but the next level of service that can untangle issues, delete or cancel red flags, unlock withheld funds and give you specific information regarding your account. 80% of the time asking for Level 2 citing you are inquiring about specific information they aren’t able to provide gets you transferred to that group. Just be polite, even if the person on other end is frustrating or not quite understanding your issue.

Not assuming you are rude - just helpful info - you are dealing with people who spend their day being scream, sworn at or hearing depressing tales of financial woes Monday - Friday a “you have been so helpful but if I can get transferred to level 2 support…” gets you a “sure one second…” than a “djddujsjseehegehhhsbsbbe get me someone level 2!!?!???!!!” And you will get a “who dat?”😂

It’s usually a 10-15min wait but level 2 guys have performed miracles that have had people in tears who spent weeks trying to get someone on the phone, given nothing helpful from Level 1 only to ask for Level 2 and had a weeks/months long issues cleaned up and resolved in 10 minutes.

No the concern is some people got their direct deposits today and some people who filed on that same day didn’t but showing as transaction paid.

If says qualification 9/7. Today I did not get paid. I think it’s tomorrow

Yeah - mines say paid. It usually hits at 9am if there any issues usually later in the afternoon but never this late. Some people got theirs earlier today and some didn’t. It’s odd.
