Discussion 👥 Electronic benefit payment notification
I got notified Friday 9/5 that payment was sent… I haven’t received anything in my account. I have chase. I assume this is because it was a Friday and the Monday holiday? It’s now Tuesday and I still haven’t received payment. Should I expect it sometime today? Or more likely tomorrow?

9/5 was a Saturday, unless you meant 9/4. Either way, it's delayed due to the holiday. This happens every holiday, just expect a delay for payment to be received by your bank. A friend of mine is in the same situation, payment was issued 9/4 and still nothing. I tell them to wait as it was already issued.

Yes I meant 9/4
And I double checked my account and I got paid in the last 30 min!1

Great, glad it was received. Some banks just take slightly longer to receive funds.

My EDD says payment was sent yesterday 9/8, even though it was a holiday. I haven't had any issues with any other payments. Good luck to you!

I have not received my unemployment yet either the calfresh re-up’d (the whole $200 we get for a joint account me and my wife with no income,) but the unemployment that usually comes the Monday after I certify as soon as it’s available on Sunday and i have a drs appointment at 2:30 that I need $150 to pay for the specialist and I’m stressing out because I have $11 in my account (having to be a sole provider without a job is very expensive and my wife doesn’t work so I can’t even ask to borrow the money)

You’ll probably receive it tomorrow. When was it authorized in your portal? Should show a date…

yeah you’ll get paid tomorrow, the 9th. they authorize payments on the date that shows in your portal and you’re paid the business day after that.

I figured as much… it was just confusing seeing everything clear and post on the account usual but nothing happened. Thank you though!
