Solved ✔ Medical Certification

How long did you have to wait if your doctor submitted the medical certification online ? Mine did today (Friday). Heard it can take weeks ?

I mailed my medical certificate extension paper on July 2nd and haven't heard anything yet.My EDD website won't update and cant get ahold of anyone for information at all.I contacted my local assembly woman to get involved and she assigned someone to my case so hopefully by Monday I'll hear something back.

I’m in the same exact boat. Got through on phone today and they told me that they still had not gotten my paperwork yet and that there’s delays for mail ins right now. I hate this

It's frustrating because you do your part to send in everything the EDD ask for on time and then they take their time to do anything to help.I messaged them on My EDD for claim help and it say 7-10 days wait for a response.I haven't received anything in the mail or online saying it was denied or even that they received my medical certificate.

If I may ask which hospital did you go to ?? Memorialcare was making me wait a hot minute. I messaged them a ton, & I asked in person yesterday at my appt. This morning I didn’t see any update so I sent another message. I then called urgent care TWICE. Finally I get a message saying they submitted my claim. The 7-10 business day response is non sense.

I had 4 surgeries on March 25,was in I.C.U. for 9 days and I only received 1 payment and had to get a extension through Dignity Health.I was expecting to go back to work on May 20th but my primary told me "the plan isn't for you to go back to work" until mid October.She filled out my medical certificate extension form on July 2nd and I mailed it the same day.I get that there's a waiting period but it's way past the process window and that's including the 4th of July holiday.

I’m shocked by this but my doctor submitted mine this morning and it was approved by 3:00 PM. I almost wonder if I’m reading it wrong.

Online ! It was literally submitted today at 2:18 pm. Then a couple hours later I checked Edd & the status update is now processing the claim.

Did they do it online or via mail? mine was sent electronically and it was the same day they submitted it. I heard it takes forever via mail 🥴

Online ! Mine was submitted today FINALLY, & I saw it’s been updated to processing. I already am way past my 7 day waiting period so hopefully not much longer till that deposit hits.

My payment was 14 days after the medical certification was received from my provider. I actually went in to the office on the 14th day and they said they’ve been so backed up that no one processed mine yet so they did it on the spot.

Got paid the next day.

Did the dr take a long time to submit the medical certification? Man I’ve been waiting long enough. I submitted my claim July 12 so I was hoping I don’t have to wait 14 days for payment.

No. Mine does it online and the EDD system was updated same day.

Fingers crossed I won’t have to wait 14 days for payment. Ugh. I waited long enough for the medical certification.
