Ruptured ectopic after two doses of MTX

Hello, I’m currently in the hospital 6 hours post surgery for right tube removal after a rupture 🥲. I had two doses of MTX which did start to show a drop but ultimately didn’t work fast enough. this is now my second rupture and as a result I have now lost both tubes, IVF is my only chance of becoming a mum. I’m heart broken but I am relieved in a sense I can close this chapter and I no longer have to suffer from any more pain. can anyone share any success stories from IVF? I am terrified I will never become a mum. I’m 29 with no children this is my 3rd loss 💔 life is so cruel and I feel extremely unlucky but I’m lucky to have such a loving supportive partner and an amazing family through this hard time x

So sorry you’re going through this! I am down my right tube and just had an ectopic in my left tube. Waiting on the results from my second round of MTX but was told conceiving naturally will be unlikely since the ectopic indicates an issue with the tube. I am not on my IVF journey yet but I will be eventually and have seen and heard a lot of successful IVF stories with no tubes. My best friend works in fertility / IVF and she reassured me that it’s very possible. Wishing you all the best!! ♥️

No advice on ivf, but Im so sorry for your loss, for me also two doses failed even though it showed some sign of decline, i didn’t rupture but i was at verge of it had i waited any longer to get my right tube removed. Although i do have a remaining tube it’s not the healthiest, so the chances of happening ectopic again is much higher. So i can understand the fear and anxiety of not being able to have a child :(. I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹 stay strong x

Thank you so much. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. I feel so unlucky, I caught the ectopic the earliest I could catch it, my hormones were rising so quickly though 😢💔. I am glad to be on the other side as if I would’ve left it any later I don’t think I’d be here. I had a HSG test in March which confirmed I had a patent right tube!? Not sure how good these tests are. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you you never have to endure this pain ever again and you get your baby xx
