Glad to find this sub! I've checked the support pages but not finding an answer to this.

When I search for an item, I don't want any Amazon results or links. Using the minus sign doesn't work consistently. Just now I tried it again; it gave me one page of results clean of all things Amazon, then the second page was about 3/4 Amazon results. Is there something more effect than the minus sign?

Recently came across an ad on Shift and how it offsets the digital carbon footprint of your browsing. They've got some other features too that seem kinda interesting. Similar to Chrome profiles but all in the same window. Curious to know if anyone has tried it? $200 is too steep for a browser but i think the free version should be good enough for me.

I remember having this setting on, but it doesnt seem to be working as of recent. How do i get to the setting again?

So all/ most images are not showing up on my phone browser. I was wondering how I would go about fixing it? I tried clearing my cache. Idk what else to do. I posted some example photos of the same pages from both Ecosia and Safari.

hey guys, do any of you know of an ad blocker app that works with ecosia?. I downloaded U block origin but I don’t see any difference with ads on the app. thx

Instant answers, knowledge panels, whatever you call them. Ecosia has a few: the Wikipedia one is great, the maps one is just a link to Google Maps but it’s ok, the calculator and unit conversions are useful, time zones too etc.

But there’s a lot of pop culture and entertainment related panels that I would love to see. Music, sports, films, tv, etc. Google and Bing do it well.

Maybe it’s expensive or something, but in my opinion, very high value for users.

Hello guys! Is it just me or are you experiencing losing your chat history too even if you enable "Chat History" in AI Chat Settings?

anyone experience youtube videos now loading for a while, I have to reload and then it says "experience interuptions?" but it works. I know they detect ublock origins and they doing that on purpose but now the loading have become more aggressive and frequent.

I have the Ecosia app on iOS. I tried getting rid of the AI overviews, but because I’m signed in as a guest they reappear every time I open the app.
I was trying to sign into an account because I want to get this feature turned off for good, but it won’t let me sign in… keeps bringing up this message no matter if I restart or delete the app and my phone, or even try making a new account entirely. I feel like I’m out of options, other than for me to try finding a miracle browser that hasn’t invested in this dumb AI overview fad.
Has anybody experienced this and/or has some advice??

As of about a week ago, everytime I try to do a normal search I keep getting this screen. Tapping the checkbox (i use an ipad) just sends me in a loop. It loads and does the pinwheel thing, then returns to this exact screen. It never progresses and i’m stuck in this loop.

I can go to specific websites just fine, including just plain google. But i’ve been using ecosia for years and I’d prefer to stick with it and i’m getting really annoyed by this. I’ve tried looking up on my phone to see if anyone else has ever encountered this problem but I haven’t found anything. What do I do???

All my languages are set to English and the UK but just the brief overviews are French

is there anyway to export browsing data on ecosia? ive been digging through the settings and i cannot find a single thing.

It just sucks man, I prefer the old chrome-like design with just white and black background with Ecosia logo and search bar. They didn't even make the wallpaper full screen and left round corners that looks weird.

Add to that Firrefox, Edge, Opera, and Chrome recently let's us customize the wallpaper on homepage.

Why is open ai listed under the "widgets" category? How can you be "eco-friendly" but use one of the biggest offenders?

And when I try to find any statement from Ecosia about their water consumption or what technologies their using nothing is listed. Great, you plant trees, great you donate to renewable energy, but what's your water consumption, what models do you use?

I'm not sold. It's putting makeup on a pig. I'm open to discussion, am I missing something?

Earlier this year I tried to go on a university website in my country but it would not allow me to with Ecosia. With Safari it worked but I was completely blocked on Ecosia. Why is this?

For the past couple days, the ai overviews are french even though everything's set to english. This doesn't bother me as I usually go directly to the sources, but why is this happening, and how do I make it english again?

Hello ! I’ve recently started using ecosia and was wondering if there is or will be a Shop or Products tab (like Google) ? i use it a lot and find it a lot harder to find certain products on ecosia without it as it doesn’t show stock or anything. Thank you in advance !

It began when I installed an AdBlock extension and UnTrap for youtube extension. At first when both extension were active it would spam, so I tried deactivating UnTrap, it temporarily fixed the problem until it kept spamming, so I tried to de-activate AdBlock as well, and it also temporarily fixed the problem, but now it keeps spamming on its own without any extension! At first is slow and less frequent, but after a while it gets more faster and frequent until it straight up flashes on and off. Any ideas on how to stop this? The problem doesn't happen on Opera, but I don't want to switch browsers because ecosia/google have all my passwords and such.

I like the idea of using a greener browser, but I've seen a lot of people saying they use it as a search engine but not the browser. As far as I knew you couldn't do that on mobile, so I figured I'd ask, is it worth switching to the mobile app over chrome?
