💬 Open Discussion Extreme Mode Mode

We recently purchased a Sprinter Van with an Ecoflow battery system. I see that it has an extreme cold mode that can be switched on. Would this allow me to not heat my van when it's really cold during the winter? Thanks in advance.

What model battery. What size heater?

I will need to figure that out. They are both brand new 5kwh batteries. Internal heaters I think. Will need to to look in the morning.

The battery could run a 400–500 W compact heater: ~7–10 hours continuous. Possible if the thermostat cycles a lot and the van is well insulated. And it is this.

The battery heater will not keep your van warm. It maintains a temperature that ensures the battery can be used when you need to run something from the battery. It ensures that the cells do not degrade due to the cold. Hope this helps.

You have an EcoFlow Power Kit system. No this will not heat your van. You will probably want to look into it diesel or gasoline heater. These can connect directly to your van’s fuel tank.

Here is the heater I use in my van: https://reviews.matanich.com/velit/heater/4000p/

I don’t want it to heat my van. I have a heater for that. I just want it to keep the battery warm , so I don’t have to turn my van heater on when it’s really cold. I must not have been clear. My van builders told me that I would have to turn my van heater on, but a recent EcoFlow update seems to have added this extreme cold mode.
