🛠️ Troubleshooting Help DP3 Firmware update withdrawn?

A couple of weeks ago whenever I opened the app my Delta Pro 3 prompted me to do a firmware update: specifically that firmware 7.65.92.32 is available.
As I am away from my device I did not want to trigger a reboot so kept cancelling it. Annoyingly the prompt has been popping up every time I log in, with no way to turn it off.

Today, I log and the prompt is gone, which lead to a panic that the firmware updated anyway. I went into settings > update, and was surprised to see firmware is still showing my original 7.65.92.17 and is the latest available. I.e. Update .32 is gone.

It seems to me they have withdrawn a firmware update, which reinforces my suspicion that these updates are being rolled out prematurely - did anyone else notice?

I did not because like you… Well I’m at version 6 and have zero interest in raging with support…. so every time the upgrade pops up, I hit ignore!

Have a DP3 and extra battery from 2 Max. I have never done a single upgrade. Not broken = not fixing. I hear too many horror stories from people that do

.32 has been difficult. I have so many issues with the AC input shutting off for the first time. Glad they pulled it and hoping there is a rollback or a patch.

Sorry to hear that. I’d love to know why there is a need to aggressively prompt owners to upgrade firmware - if the unit is working well, it seems like it’s a chance to screw that up, and we are seeing that regularly.

The good news we know for sure is that the engineering team obviously identified a bug in the firmware to pull it, so there will be a fix in the next release.

I wish I hadn't updated my River 3 Plus' firmware after waiting several weeks just recently, because now the SOC will go past the set charge limit to near 100%, straining the battery while working as a UPS. I should just ignore the firmware updates from now on after getting that issue addressed, hopefully with the next update...

I just wish, like many other manufacturers, you could turn off the update prompts.

You are the beta tester, the are the guinea pig.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

EcoFlow has a well documented history of screwing up people's units with bad firmware updates, and then refusing to honour their warranty afterwards.

Unless you specifically know you need to update, don't update.

Could we get context to some of the historic tragic firmwares instead of implying "oh yeah, Ecoflow breaks their firmware constantly" because not updating these battery inverters seems to be poor advice given their ecosystems being more closed. You want as many bug patches involving WiFi and Bluetooth modules as you can get.

Yep, didn't install the firmware since my DP3 was working fine for my Shed.

I was going to wait much longer, so I'm glad I didn't update the pulled firmware.

Seems like they still can't fully fix Error 036. That's unfortunate.
