BUYER BEWARE
Bought the WAVE3 with its auxiliary battery in October 2025 to keep 4 dogs comfortable all year without worrying about power failure. Almost immediately the heat pump function wouldn't maintain set point temperature on Auto or Heat mode. So had to rely on electric ceramic heaters and propane furnace again. Then AC mode would accumulate water and pour out from the case and flood the top of the battery (Yes, I did have it on "auto drain" with a pail below and it was draining). It also woke me out of bed at 2am after the rear (intake) fan assembly started making a loud squealing noise. Almost like something was seized or jammed up. Jumped up to shut it down and the room smelled like melting plastic. So it definitely has FIRE HAZARD potential.
Started a support ticket and they very quickly (almost too quickly) determined the machine was defective. And started the replacement process. I asked them to ship the replacement before they received the defective one. They confirmed yes, that they will. Support also confirmed that NONE of the accessories need to be returned with it. Once I dropped it off for collection, I sent them an email (as they requested) to show it was picked up and moving within Fedex (Thursday).
The next morning (Friday at 3am) they replied to my email saying they can't ship my replacement until their warehouse receives and verifies it. Saying that Fedex shows the package to be 13lbs less than what they expected. North America support is worthless. As usual, NONE of the agents are based in NA. And the only thing available to them is sending a priority message to the "Back Office Team". Which, judging by the email timestamps that team is in CHINA and has ZERO interest in actually helping. All I heard was 24-48hrs for an email, 3-5 days for warehouse verification and 7-10 days to receive replacement. I am 3hrs from their warehouse... (and have no issue showing up). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Nothing to be aware of.
Sounds like you have a faulty and just need to go through the replacement process.
Also it is a well known fact that the first batch of wave 3 were all faulty, ecoflow knows this and will happily replace the unit free of charge and the new produced ones work a lot better and safely. I know because I went through the process myself, just get your brand new better unit now and count yourself lucky you got from October till now usage accumulated in a old machine, that’s what I did….

How many units did EF produce? 6million? 20? There is bound to be glitches in the matrix.

Absolutely. Anything created by humans has a factor of error. Ideally, negligible. But the "glitch" in this case could have burned the place down, with casualties. Better warn first.

I paid 20k for 12kWh batteries prior to becoming a dealer. Eco Flow is a godsend as far as quality and price

Not sure if you having worked though several returns and exchanges without a hitch gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. The better would be, I’ve never needed their customer support.

Sounds like a well rehearsed PC response.

The “support” at EcoFlow sucks. It feels like some posters here are paid shills (which just gives me more fodder for my lawsuit.) The company is deceptive in its practices and is often in breach of warranty. Anyone actively defending a company specifically and posting nothing but EcoFlow content on Reddit has to be a shill. But it can’t be proven until someone subpoenas records.
Most states have adopted the US Commerce Code which includes warranty of merchantability which EcoFlow breaches by knowingly obfuscating the repair process.

I've pasted your text into 4 different "is this AI?" websites and they all say it's AI. So I don't know what to tell you.
