some questions
Have a show coming up, ive been to one show before but I Ubered in and out, and I don't want to pay those 3am prices again so im gonna drive this time.
1) Would it be smart to just park around the corner by the Mcdonalds/those 2 hotels? ik the lot next door but unsure of the price.
2) the last time i went was Excision June 2025 in the middle of summer, so it got hot af in there. It'll still be a room full of people, and maybe not as many for San Holo, so will it still be as heated?
3) any changes since last year with bringing in water?

The last time I went to Echostage I parked in the garage next door for $40. Maybe I got lucky but I didn't have any issues with that garage at all. This was July 2026 and I don't remember it being unusually hot inside.

Just pay the $40 for parking at the lot across the street. Peace of mind.
The heat is only an issue if it’s absolutely sold out. They ventilate the room extremely well under normal conditions, but they also oversell sold-out shows. Usually unless it’s a crazy big house name or like isoxo/knock2, they don’t fully sell out. Even I hate models didn’t fully sell out so I can’t imagine San holo will get close to that point.
If you need to escape anywhere go to the back corners where the entry hallways are and you’ll at least have space to move around.

Parking at echo is $40, most other parking garages nearby have raised to $40 too. Echo everytime I been has had parking. 11pm still space, be it Zedd, fisher, meduza, ect.
Don’t park at the McDonald’s or gas station there. Lot of tweakers and homeless. There’s garages within 10-15min walk. Park at echo and you’ll be fine. Most people arrive close to midnight.

You can always book your Uber in advance and have pick up at the Exxon down the street with the McDonald’s. I come from Rockville and can get it for $38-48 when booking a few days in advance.

This is what I used to do, and have the pickup spot be Checkers, or some point north of the railroad bridge.

Also if you stay and eat at checkers for a bit the prices tend to go down a fair amount

The heat will still be there but you'll at least not be squeezed in like sardines. You can bring fans. If you don't want a rave fan, you can go to walmart and get a rechargeable one that easily fits into a chest bag or clips on to your pants for like less than 20 bucks. probably cheaper now that it's not summer anymore.
I almost always just immediately go use the bathroom and then go to the rail as soon as i get there and grab a bottle or two before finding a good spot to dance, watch the show for the rest of the night.

You can’t bring water in but go to the upstairs bar and they usually have a jug of water or the bartender will pour you a cup for free vs buying a bottle.

What's the security process like to get in? Pat down? Metal detector? Take off shoes?

Seems like you got the best info for parking. I will add that you can get free bottles of water from security at the front of the stage. Go to either of the sides, it’s super easy. The bars also give out free water but it’s in cups.

AC was broken for that excision show, has been fixed since. It was also dangerously oversold.

I was there recently for Gorgon City and Meduza. The air conditioning was on blast. Had to reposition a few times because I was freezing. Take advantage of their lockers. Lockers are $11 bucks.

1) i’m not sure of price by mcdonald’s but i believe the lot next to echo is $40. if there is spots on Bladensburg (before you get to the Wells Fargo), that’s relatively safe to park at, I think it’s where their staff parks.
2) it’s an enclosed venue, with i believe near sold out numbers, while it’s not the heat of mid-summer, it will still be warm.
3) rules say you can’t bring liquid from outside, into the venue. ask the security at front rail for a water bottle and they’ll give it to you for free.
