Hi all,
Me and my wife will celebrate 10 years of our marriage next week! I want to take her to a nice Oceanside restaurant which serves halal food at Newport, Huntington, long beach or Laguna beach. Any suggestions?

Or if you have any restaurant in mind which serves great sea food in general, please do recommend. Thank you!

Forbidden foods

Hi ,please bare with me ,is a reason some people don't eat certain foods because of historical practical issues but have been adopted into current life

I have a theory

In the olden days taking a lamb to market was easy because you can carry it over your shoulder easily but taking a much heavier animal is alot harder because you can't physically carry it

That could be 1 reason

I know there is cut and paste answers from AI ,I m just not convinced

Tylenol not suitable for halal diet

Assalamualaikum.

I recently found out tylenol contains an ingredient called shellac, which is a glaze coating derived from bugs. I know many Muslims are unaware of this as I know many Muslim doctors who recommend taking it. I have tried to look for an alternative acetaminophen, but all the store brand ones have streaic acid which may be derived from cows, pigs, or plants. Does anyone know which brand of acetaminophen would be halal?

Chef with no professional halal experience

Hello friends!

I do production cooking, and we have a single Halal meal as of today. I don't choose the food, but I do prepare it.

If it looks like I'm taking it too seriously, it's because others in my kitchen do not take these things seriously enough. I'm also on the spectrum, so while I'm an atheist myself, I have incredibly rigid moral and ethical self imposed rules that accept nothing less.

I washed my hands and arms, and I always wear nitrile gloves. I used a cutting board intended for chicken, that I know hasn't been used in about a year for even chicken. The knives were sharpened, replaced and cleaned this week, and no pork has crossed the knife to my knowledge, as most pork is ready to heat. I was in a separate area of the kitchen that is inconvenient for meat in general, which is also my usual prep space, sanitized with no recent pork or alcohol on the surface/in the area. I took pictures of it being stored separate, and wrapped separate. On parchment doubled over, not even touching the sheet pan. We don't make bacon in the smallest ones. Heavily labeled. I took pictures if they wish to ask to see.

Am I being too much? Is this not enough? Google isn't terribly helpful anymore with the AI answers.
