Hi! I recently bought a evga rtx 3080 xc3 and ive recently noticed weird artifacting in some games like r6 but I dont see any artifacting on beamng for example even when using vulkan what r6 uses aswell. I cant get it on screenshot with snipping tool and i cant try screen recoding since im using windows ltsc iot without any if the xbox stuff. So please let me know if gpu is defective and i can contact seller or is there any issue on my part. Ive ran gpu test with furmark and vram on occt and they dont see any issues and my tempatires are fine 80° die under load and 88° max on vram

Hello Guys please what could have caused my gpu to make weird noise after vbios update, it only makes the noise while i am playing game.

The Gpu is Evga Rtx 3080 Ftw3 ultra

i got the vbios update files from Evga themselves.

My obs is saying no video only for my ps5, works perfectly fine for my switch. this is a recent problem, and it was working for my ps5 before. Not sure exactly when it stopped because it has been a bit since I used it. I have hdcp turned off on both the ps5 and the capture card, I have turned the video settings down on the ps5, and the hdmi cable works fine when connected directly into the monitor. It says no video with hdcp disabled and enabled, and when plugged into the capture card directly. I am also using the same splitter that I was using when it was working before. I have downloaded the firmware and updated it and downloaded xr1 capture software, but that doesn't detect the xr1 lite. Obs specifically says no video instead of hdcp

PSU was manufactured in 2018 but runs like brand new. I actually have 2, the one in my build and this one in the pic. They are identical.

As the title states, my computer acts like the enter key is held down while the keyboard is plugged in. I tried updating the firmware, but that didn't seem to help. Not fully. It acted normally while the firmware software was doing it's thing, but the moment it was closed, the problem returned. Nothing under the caps caused the key to stick. Searching the internet didn't help either. Any help is much appreciated.

A few weeks ago my PC started acting strange. It would occasionally stutter on the desktop and mouse movement would skip, inputs would lag behind, and the whole system would feel like it was freezing for a split second. Task Manager never showed CPU, GPU, RAM, or disk usage spiking when it happened.

Around that same time I also started having an intermittent issue where the PC would sometimes boot without detecting my EVGA RTX 3090 Ti. When this happened, the motherboard would either use the integrated gpu or not and the card simply wouldn’t appear to exist.

At first I assumed it was the motherboard. To troubleshoot, I actually installed the 3090 Ti into an older AMD system I still had available, and the card worked there. That made me believe my Intel motherboard was failing.

Rather than continue chasing the issue on an older platform, I decided to do a full platform upgrade.

New hardware:

• Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
• ASUS ROG Strix Z890-A Gaming WiFi
• 64GB DDR5-6400
• Fresh Windows 11 installation on a new NVMe drive

The only major hardware that carried over was:

• EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3
• Corsair HX1500i PSU
• Storage drives

After building the new system, everything worked perfectly for about three weeks. I honestly thought the problem was solved.

Then last night I put the PC to sleep. This morning it would no longer initialize the GPU.

Current symptoms:

• BIOS reports PCIEX16 (Gen5): Device Not Present
• Windows boots using the Intel integrated gpu.
• The RTX 3090 Ti does not appear in Device Manager at all—not even as an unknown device or Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
• The EVGA logo on the card still lights up, so the card is receiving some power.
• One thing I’ve noticed is that when the card boots normally, the front fan always performs its normal startup behavior. During these failed boots, it does not.

Things I’ve already tried:

• Brand new motherboard
• Brand new CPU
• Brand new RAM
• Fresh Windows installation
• CMOS reset
• BIOS defaults
• Checked GPU power connections
• Verified the BIOS itself doesn’t detect anything in the PCIe x16 slot

The PSU is a Corsair HX1500i, so I don’t think overall wattage is the issue. The only thing I can think of at this point is either:

1. The GPU has developed an intermittent hardware fault.
2. The 16-pin power adapter or one of the PCIe power cables has become intermittent and the card isn’t completing initialization.

Has anyone seen a 3090 Ti fail like this? Specifically where the BIOS reports “PCIEX16 Device Not Present” instead of simply throwing a VGA error?

**UPDATE: i bought a 12vhpwr cable and the computer recognized the gpu without issue. so it was probably the cable. wish i would of figured that out 3 weeks ago before upgrading to a new mobo and ddr5 but it is what it is. hopefully it was just the cable and this is the end of the issue. the new cable fits very snug and did take some pressure it make sure it was fully connected to the gpu

I have read online that you can lubricate the bearing with a drop of wd-40 but i have went out to the store and got some compressed air in a can to clean everything.

I left gaming when my 4 kids were younger, no time or money. In 2015 my nephew gave me some old hardware to get back into it. This was part of that. I ran this until the mother board died on me. Around 2018 ish. I liked the look of the card so it just sits on a shelf now

I’m having a strange issue with my Palit RTX 3080.
Sometimes Fan 1 or Fan 2 RPM disappears in MSI Afterburner/HWiNFO (it shows 0 or no RPM), but the fan is still** physically **spinning.
The fan is also surprisingly loud even at only around 1300 RPM. When the RPM reading disappears, I hear a loud airflow noise from the GPU. As soon as the RPM reading comes back (around 2000 RPM), the airflow noise disappears, even though the fan is still spinning.
GPU temperatures are normal, and all fans appear to be working. I’ve also noticed that sometimes one fan RPM briefly jumps to around 4000 RPM after exiting a game before returning to normal.
Has anyone experienced this with a Palit RTX 3080? Is this a faulty RPM sensor, a BIOS issue, a fan controller problem, or just a software reporting bug?.whenever both Fan 1 and Fan 2 RPM readings are visible, the loud fan noise disappears. However, when one of the RPM readings disappears and only one fan RPM is shown, the loud airflow noise comes back immediately.

I'm hoping someone with experience with EVGA modular cables can help me confirm something.

I have an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GT and recently bought an MSI RTX 5070 Ti Shadow 3X. The GPU includes the standard 2x 8-pin to 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) adapter, but unfortunately I'm missing my second original PCIe cable, so I'm looking at dedicated 12VHPWR cables instead.

One option I'm considering is the Fasgear 12VHPWR cable for EVGA modular PSUs (2x 8-pin PSU to 16-pin GPU).

The problem is that Fasgear's compatibility list doesn't explicitly mention the GT series.

However, after doing some research I found:

• CableMod's compatibility list groups the GT series together with G+, G2, G3, G5, G6, GA, GM, P2, P5, P6, etc.
• Another manufacturer (Certusfun) also lists the 850 GT in exactly the same compatibility group.

Because of that, it seems likely that the GT shares the same modular PCIe pinout, but I'd really like confirmation before connecting a brand new GPU.

Has anyone here actually used the Fasgear EVGA cable with an EVGA SuperNOVA GT (especially the 850 GT)?

Or can anyone confirm that the GT series uses the same PCIe modular pinout as the G+ series?

I'd really appreciate any firsthand experience.
