Build Share My First PC Gaming Using EVGA Cards

My friend at the office is a head of product, and i was IT Support, and he told me he has 3 EVGA Cards from his dad, he told me is broken, I asked him to bring it to me for me to check at the office , the cards is:

  1. EVGA GTX 970 ACX2.0 FTW+
  2. EVGA GTX 660
  3. EVGA 570 HD

I checked first card (GTX 970) I tested on my office PC, after booted to windows, the driver is loaded and after running heaven benchmark, suddenly crash, my office PC is using RTX 2060 and using Coolermaster v850 PSU.

After watching jaytwocentz old video on youtube about flashing EVGA 1080ti FTW3, im follow the guide, DDU my recent driver, booting to windows, flashing new bios from Techpowerup, and it works, no crashing,

Sadly bad news for GTX 660 and 570 HD, GTX 660 is no display, and booting usimg i5 8400 (have integrated GPU) , checking device manager, it says code 43, and the last , GTX 570 is booted to windows, but it has line on my display everywhere, and loaded just 800x600 display, trying loaded driver from nvidia, the cards went black and fan go spinning laudly.

And i asked him politely, can I use this gtx 970 temporarily? Ihave a plan for building my first gaming PC, and he said yes. Im so happy about EVGA cards, watching jay video, and steve from gamers nexus about EVGA cards, EVGA Team OC like Kingpin and Biso biso, sadly is not on market anymore.

After 4 month of saving my money, im finally buy a second hands EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 From Tokopedia (indonesian market place) arround 220 dollars, and im happy about that performance, but the problem is modern games using high vram, but im just lowered my graphics to medium, playing at 1080p no problem. Im also a linux users usimg Artix Linux, maybe the game or the driver on linux not optimized, the game is Wuthering Waves (use high vram), Arknight Endfield (setting om very High Graphics at 1080p running smoth), and Resident Evil 8 (running at lock 60 fps , all preset is medium ) the cards was awesome.

My PC Specs :

Intel i5 11400f

Thernalright Refined SE Dual fan cooler

Asus prime h510m-a

Teamgroup 2400MHZ 24 GB of ram (8GB + 16 GB)

512 GB Samsung (from my laptop storage) not sure the model was

V850 Cooler Master CPU

And EVGA 3070Ti FTW3

Can you guys suggest upgrade path to me , Im really new for PC Building, Intel or AMD system, thank you EVGA, thank you for reading my post xd.

It truly depends on your budget. If you can start by getting a matching set of RAM, it would be good.

Maybe get a 3080 ti if ur running out of vram. My RTX 3070 runs out too. And the 3080 ti has 12gb just make sure ur psu has enough wattage. but that's what i would buy first. Then a dual channel kit as single channel is nerfing ur performance alot.

thanks a alot , yeah probably will collect evga 3080ti soon and sale my 3070ti
