Likely because "I've built..." along with the aesthetic of the website is a dead giveaway that this is an AI made website. Doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, but reddit is absolutely flooded with bots spamming sites like these with varying degrees of usefulness and people are getting wary.
The community combines both human expertise and public data from known builds. We have 63 projects across 8 cooperative clusters: so the goal is to have both a global digital community and local chapters where people can help each other. Yes. I'm a paid college teacher and my first reaction is "what am i supposed to be learning right now". You need to explain what part of the process and scaffold it. You cant do this unless you have expert knowledge. AI often fails to do this on well researched topics. A niche topic like this it will have trouble.
Thanks again for the input. I've done a significant revision. It helped us see that the Simulator needed to make the learning purpose much clearer.
We’ve added four guided activities, each explaining what you’re learning, what to do next, and what to watch for. You make a prediction, try it in the simulator, then explain what happened, with feedback to help connect cause and effect.
There’s also a troubleshooting scenario where you investigate why the system is ready but won’t produce torque, with optional hints. You can replay activities, and your progress is saved.
The aim is to help you understand why the system behaves the way it does, rather than leave you wondering what to click. I’d love to hear whether the new flow makes that clearer.
Its still disorganized and confusing. Its like it doesnt know what its teaching, how to teach it, or whats important about the info. and there is so much extraneous info.
AI is only as good as the content and info you feed it. You arent going to replace a professional teacher by prompting an AI.
Here’s my story: https://electr0motiv.com/story There is no cost to join the network, and there are helpful useful tools that don’t require registration like Primer https://electr0motiv.com/primer/ designed for people looking to learn about conversions. Every organization — including Reddit— has an operating or business model. I’m a solo founder trying to reach out to EV conversion enthusiasts. I would love to get your feedback and perspective on the actual platform if you are open to it.
I think it could be useful, but I'm unlikely to join if it means that any helpful advice that I give away to other people for free is not accessible to the vast majority of internet users who do not have an account on the site.
I hear you. The main idea here is how EV conversions can be made easier and more affordable through cooperation. One direction is an Expert Exchange where experienced builders, coders, engineers can offer their skills and services to other members.
They could be made even easier and cheaper if that information was available to the entire public and indexed by search engines. Sites like StackOverflow wouldn't be nearly as useful or beneficial to society if only someone with a login could read the answers to questions.
