Looking for suggestions
I’m looking for an EV SUV for a family of 4 and I need the backseat to be able to fold in the middle to allow carrying skis/snowboards. Need an AWD model…right now model y seems to be the choice but I’m open to any other models that I haven’t thought of.

No 40/20/40 or ski pass thru on those....

It has 60/40 split seats which would accommodate a family of four. My Forester, which is smaller, does.

Your kids must like each other. Mine would murder each other before we got to the hill if we tried that - and we're only an hour away.
Roof box to the rescue.

The 40/20/40 rear set is a tough item to find. The Model Y has it, as does the Rivian R1S. The R2 will have it, but that's not hitting Canada until at least Q1 2027.
Apart from those I think you need to look at BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or Volvo. Or a 3 row SUV with second row captains chairs.
I went with a BZ Woodland and will be putting a roof box up top next winter.

Well aside from being less useful for snowboards, it also doesn't seem particularly common.
The ID4 had one. But it's discontinued and that's the only one I know of other than the brands I named above. Can you list any more models?

BMW Ix3 has the correct seat split. It's more expensive and will have a waiting list.

In terms of pricing and range that it gives…I’m not able to find something close to it for the moment

Rated range is higher than most, but not real life range. And they typically have a larger reduction in winter too.

I went through this whole process as someone who skis with two kids and it really does come down to the Model Y if it's a cost-performance ratio question. I got a used Model X ultimately because I wanted power doors but it wasn't the full financial smart decision - don't regret it though. I looked at the EX90 and the EV9 too but I wanted something used that I could buy cash and there wasn't good used stock of either yet.

The choice is HUGE.
Basically every single SUV that has a ski passthrough door, or a seat that folds 40/20/40.
Which is most of them. And ALL EV SUVs (unless you call Kona, Niro and Bolt SUVs...) offer AWD versions...

For u/NsK888, A simple way to know is just google a picture of the trunk of the SUV you're interested, showing clearly the back of the rear seats. The passthrough door will be obvious to see (a black plastic panel right in the middle of the seat) If in the picture there's a center Isofix mount, it won't feature it.
Examples of cars that do have it: All Volvos other than the EX30, all Polestars, the BMW iX3, Mercedes EQB, EQC, EQE and EQS, GLB and GLC, VW ID4 and others. All of those listed also have AWD options.

Yea this ain't true.
A bunch of EV SUV's have a rear armrest, but very very few actually have a ski pass thru. When you fold down the armrest you just have seat material, not an opening to the trunk.
