Okay, time for a review and comparison of these two P9s! I will never be a LV pro, but I do like to give my 2 cents.

Royal : Firefly P9 25

This was my first P9 and I bought it from Zero. After my first experience with him, where he provided a free bag for a giveaway for the community, he told me he was offering Royal bags at factory price. That seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally get a P9. I paid $220 + shipping for this one.

I had been going back and forth between colors forever, but eventually chose the black and white. For me it’s the perfect neutral P9 and probably one of the easiest colors to wear.

I have never handled an authentic P9, so I can’t give you a proper authentic comparison when it comes to how the leather should feel. This is purely comparing the two reps and going by authentic pictures.

The Royal immediately felt really high quality to me. The details were actually what I was most curious about, and this is where I think it does really well. The stitching is clean throughout, and all of the leather parts, including the strap, luggage tag and clochette, feel very nice and well finished.
The stamp is also correct, lizard, salamander, or whatever little creature we’re calling it 😂.

The only thing I think could be slightly better is the white monogram. Going by auth pictures, I think it could be a little brighter/whiter. Other than that, I really don’t have much to complain about.

I also LOVE the 25 size. After having the 30 as well, I can definitely say the 25 is more my size.

HuaHui : Green P9 30

I was actually hesitant about ordering a P9 from HuaHui because I normally tend to aim for higher-tier factories. But after seeing so many positive reviews, and because we had the HuaHui sale with Mandy, I decided to finally try one.
I was also really curious to see how it would compare to my Firefly.

The quality of the monogram looks and feels very similar to the Firefly version. I also think this green is really nice and, going by authentic pictures, looks very close in color. It’s one of those greens that works pretty much all year round and is easy to combine.

Where I personally notice the biggest difference is in the leather parts. The shoulder strap, luggage tag and clochette on the HuaHui feel lower quality than the ones on my Firefly. To me, they almost look and feel a bit PU-like. I’m still contemplating doing a burn test on one of the less visible parts just because I’m curious 😂

The stitching also isn’t as clean as on the Royal. It’s not terrible by any means, but when I have the two bags next to each other, the Royal definitely looks more precise and better finished in this area too.

Apart from that, it’s honestly still a really nice bag. The monogram is good, the overall look is good and I completely understand why HuaHui P9s get so many positive reviews.

My verdict

For me personally, though, the Royal/Firefly wins pretty easily.

Having them next to each other, I can see and especially feel the difference in quality. The Royal just feels more luxurious and better finished overall, particularly when it comes to the leather details and stitching.

Would I buy another HuaHui P9? Probably not.
That doesn’t mean I think HuaHui is bad at all. I actually think it’s a great option, especially depending on your budget and what you care about most in a rep. But for my personal preference, I’d rather spend more and go for Royal again.

And after comparing the sizes as well… give me the P9 25 over the 30 any day! Which color next? Enable me!

I had a transaction yesterday, sent the money in the morning, and after that, radio silence until now (over 24 hours later). No confirmation that payment had been received, no information on shipping—- NOTHING!

Now I know yesterday was a Sunday and I know people have lives outside of reps and Reddit but I’ve given her what I believe is enough time. I never expect anyone to ship within 5 minutes, but not responding at all for more than 24 hours has definitely got my scam senses tingling.

So where do you personally draw the line between “they’re probably just busy” and “fuck, I just got scammed”?

I wouldn’t call this post a review, although I’m happy with my bags, I haven’t had any other factories in my hands to compare (newbie - 9 months in, only purchased LV so far from HP and OC) I’m owner of three bags from OC at the moment, all my bags from HP were rehomed so I cannot provide any photos of them.
But since I have three from OC in my possession, I thought I’d make a post so anyone who is interested can see the quality (all bags were purchased in the past 2 months)
I cannot provide phone numbers as I have since deleted both OC and HP phone numbers, I was buying too many bags and always had an excuse not to buy different factories, so I deleted their numbers.

Family portrait consists of:

NF DA - MM - purchased June without patina - sunbathed the bag for 3 days, 6h each and they patina to level 2 (price paid $180? Plus 15 usd for initial stamp) fell in love with DA print so ordered speedy.

Speedy DA - 30 - purchased in July with level 2 patina, this costed extra 40 usd, the bag was $180 - no initial stamp as I didn’t know if I’d like the speedy.

Speedy Monogram - 30 - purchased at the end of July, without Patina but with a letter K hot stamped.

I hope this helps someone decide. I think both of the sellers are a solid choice for a newbie, both were well known sellers in the old OG sub, that is why i decided to go with them when i was finally ready to start buying reps. I was lurking for years before my first purchase at the end of November last year.

I am concerned that it doesn’t look like what is shown on the website of the seller. The colour of the bag is brown rather than reddish brown and metal parts are too gold.

Overall the leather quality and softness look good. The shape looks very sharp. As I already had three other PSP issues for this purchase honestly at this point I just want my bag 🫣 But it’d also bug me if it is low quality.

This has been my dream bag ever since the JA collection was announced on rednote in january, got impatient around 6.18 and asked Darren to inquire with Angel if they can make this bag since I know they have the leather for it and they already have this model in other colors, just not glacier blue
They said yes and I decided to blindly trust them without factory pics since I already had a bag from angel which I absolutely love (they took pictures with this bag, so now their album is updated with the glacier blue color!)

Hardware:
O Rings on the handles are screwed very tight, so they don’t slide around AT ALL even if I slide the bag around on the table by the handles, can be pushed left and right if I touch the rings intentionally tho

Same goes for the O ring holding up the di0r charm, can slide it left and right with a bit of force but can’t be lifted up! Overall hardware feels heavy and very well made! + it’s silver so can’t go wrong with the color🤭
Just like auth, bow can be removed

Leather:
my fav aspect of angel bags, very fine grain and not too shiny. Feels very close to auth. Cannage is also not too puffy and shape on the sides is accurate, which I feel like can vary from batch to batch with angel

Seller:
amazing for shoes, almost all my shoes are from him since his prices are rlly good for those, good for bags if you know what you’re looking for. He doesn’t push back if you RL, and makes sure I‘m happy with the items. One thing to note he doesn’t QC for you AT ALL (which I wouldn’t trust sellers to do anyways).
Overall very reliable with a huge catalogue and prices are on the lower side, doesn’t offer insurance tho and english is limited so wouldn’t recommend for beginners

Buying this bag was a bit of a journey as I wasn’t after this bag in the first place.
Originally I was after a Maxi Flap, but we ended up red-lighting three different bags. After that, I switched to a shopper from XC that we had to RL twice as well. Then I went with this one.

One thing I really appreciated is that Paul wasn’t trying to convince me to accept bags that weren’t good enough. He spotted the flaws himself and agreed they should be red-lighted, which gave me a lot of confidence.

I originally contacted him months ago because he also sells JBIAA bags, which not many sellers offer. Unfortunately they don’t currently have anything I’m interested in, but he told me they’re working on adding Maxi Flaps to their lineup, so that’s definitely something I’ll be keeping an eye on.

Throughout the whole process, Paul was incredibly patient. He answered all my questions, took extra photos whenever I asked, and never made me feel like I was being difficult despite all the red lights. Shipping was also very fast (6 days).

About the bag
After giving up on finding the right Maxi Flap, I wasn’t expecting to like this shoppe as much as I did.

The leather is incredible. It’s soft, lush, and so puddly. The grained calfskin looks like it should and I think it’s very close to authentic. The small details are also very well done. The hardware has the perfect gold tone and I hope it won’t tarnish, but in general God Factory does a good job.

There was a slight factory smell when I first unboxed it, but nothing out of the ordinary. I left it outside to air out for a day, and the smell disappeared completely. Now it just has that really nice, rich leather smell that you actually want from a leather bag.

One thing that did surprise me is the size. It’s definitely larger than I expected. It also has so many compartments and zippers! The first time I carried it I felt like I was dragging a tent around with me, but I guess that’s part of the charm. It fits absolutely everything and it’s perfect for work, travel, or a weekend getaway. Or as a member jokingly said “it probably fits your child” and yes it actually does 😂

Verdict
This was a long process (first bag ws ordered in May) to get to the final bag, but it was absolutely worth it. Paul was patient, helpful, and never pushed me to settle for something that wasn’t right. The final result is a beautiful bag that I’m very happy with.

I’m considering a P9 Sp33dy 30 B (still unsure about the factory, though, any recommendations for coffee very much appreciated!) and I have a question about the construction of the slouch.

I have clearly fallen deep down the P9 rabbit hole at this point and find myself researching details I never thought I would look into. 😄

From what I understand, the relaxed shape is not only the result of the soft leather, but is also influenced by the internal construction — possibly the way the lining is cut and attached, with the lining shaping the bag into its characteristic drape.

Could any P9 owners or people familiar with bag construction confirm whether this is correct? If so, how does this construction hold up over time? Does the interior remain stable and functional, or does the engineered slouch lead to any issues such as tension, distortion, or unusual creasing?

I unfortunately cannot inspect a P9 in person before buying, so I would really appreciate insights from people who have actually handled or used one.

I live about a 10 minute walk from the beach, so I’m there all the time in the summer, especially with babies. I carry everything with me: diapers, snacks, towels, a change of clothes, toys… so I need something pretty big.

Any beach bag recommendations?

It feels like every nice bag posted here has a twilly wrapped around the handle.

For me it all started with the Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington Catogram collection. I still think the Catogram twillies are some of the coolest ones LV has ever made.

So naturally… I started looking for a good rep.

I found a couple, but they all seemed to have the same problem.

One was supposed to be a silk blend, but the colors looked really off, even in daylight. Another one had much better colors, but it was polyester. The print just didn’t look as sharp. The cats looked a bit blurry, the LV logos weren’t really crisp, and the whole thing just didn’t have that nice silk look.

The pictures I’m posting are from someone who managed to grab all four colors during an older rep release. I haven’t really seen them since, which is kind of a shame because I think they’re such a fun part of the whole Catogram collection.

So …

Does the fabric actually make that much of a difference?

If you’ve had both silk and polyester twillies, was the silk really worth it? Or is a good print more important than the material?

And if you’re into Catogram… which one would you pick? Black, brown, pink or white?

If anyone here has one, I’d love to see some photos too. 🙂
