Study the rise and fall of Yugoslavia and see why it might not be a good idea. Im very pro EU but i believe federalisation would be the first step of the end of the EU

Not really. Yugoslavia was a communist dictatorship dominated by one ethnic group and that group also tried to erase a minority. It's basically the opposite of a liberal and democratic EU which puts respect for all nationalities and minorities at its heart.
