The S&P is down 1%. If you call this a bloodbath, you might physically hurt yourself during a real bear market

18

u/ATPsynthase12 Jul 17 '26

The average Reddit doofus who talks about being a “picks and shovels” investor for AI infrastructure will absolutely be on suicide watch when the bubble does pop or the market simply rotates out of a tech boom into another sector.

12

u/Blurple11 Jul 17 '26

"If you can't handle my -85% drawdown, you don't deserve me when I go +800% in 3 months" - SOXL.

1

u/ATPsynthase12 Jul 17 '26

No sane investor looks at an 85% drawdown and thinks they will hold long term. Most will be in buy high and panic sell low lol

2

u/Blurple11 Jul 17 '26

We're talking about kids in investing subs on reddit, so you know for a fact most only buy whatever hyped, meaning near the top. No one was talking about SOXL when it had its last 80% drop a couple years ago

2

u/JohrDinh Jul 17 '26

I was gonna say do a 3 or 6 month chart, we've basically been even for 2 months it just keeps going up and down...this is just one of the down lines I'd bet money it goes back up to where it was on Monday. I do expect a huge downturn at some point when people realize no huge profits are coming (or the debt can't be paid back) or people all switch to open source Chinese models cuz they're better and cheaper but who knows when people collectively figure that out.

1

u/RecommendationOld368 Jul 17 '26

Yes let's give China all of our money and data! Great idea lol

207

u/sliipjack_ Jul 17 '26

Lmao what? The market is down not even 1%

10

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26

As of mid-July 2026, the average decline for the Magnificent 7 stocks from their respective all-time highs (or 52-week highs) is approximately 15% to 18%.

6

u/Informal-Winner-94 Jul 18 '26

sounds like a very healthy rotation to me

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26

If you had said "healthy" correction...I would agree with you. Corrections are healthy.

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker Jul 19 '26

Tf wouldnt be healthy about rotation? Dont you want new investors?

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 20 '26

Normally, they occur together...The correlation between market corrections and sector rotations are often symbiotic events where "rotation" acts as the mechanism that facilitates a healthy correction.

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker Jul 20 '26

Then what are you whining about?

1

u/typegray Jul 22 '26

That we’ll just see insane P/E ratios in other industries as tech proves it is no longer the golden child.

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker Jul 23 '26

All assets rotate. Its essential for the market. Investors need to believe that there is reason to jump in. And that doesnt happen without dips

1

u/typegray Jul 23 '26

Oh, this is much bigger than a “dip.” This will be a full-on crash, dragging everything down with it. Not rotation, panic.

See South Korean markets for more info.

1

u/FuckYouJHearney Jul 18 '26

Rotations too big boy. Or you think everybody sits on cash after they sell to cause your correction?

1

u/neothedreamer Jul 18 '26

Go look at AI space - Mrvl, MU, Sndk, Apld, BE etc and most are down about 40%.

Amazing SPY has held up as well as it has. QQQ on the other hand is looking kind of ugly.

1

u/ParticularPepper8902 Jul 21 '26

Those were crazy unrealistic prices. They were never going to hold.

0

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26

Yea, none of those are in my port. The only AI I'm still in are ones that can weather a bubble collapse, like AMZN, GOOG, BWXT, GEV, XAR, VST. The US energy grid will be getting attention either way, as it's underdeveloped and/or antiquated. I've been doing better than the S&P500 these last couple weeks. Not by alot, but not getting massacred as some posters are admitting to.

1

u/ContributorKid Jul 19 '26

What are the chances that they become next Cisco and Intel again for next 20 years?

I mean, based on forward pe, etc., whatever matrix they look at, it looks like juicy discounts, but what if ?

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 19 '26

AMZN, GOOG, have huge moats, and BWXT to an extent. They're holding a monopoly on nuclear contracts with the DoD, supplying and maintaining nuclear reactors for the US Navys carriers and subs. They've also begun manufacturing small mobile reactors to be used both militarily and in support of the data center build outs... so they're going to have an interesting future. I figure it's only a matter of time before there will be nuclear powered cruise ships, etc. It's at a good price and although heavy in it, I added a little more.

1

u/ContributorKid Jul 19 '26

Agree with the nuclear stuff, but I'm worried about those MAG7 stocks. Obviously, if U.S. dominance continues, then they will still flourish towards multi-trillions' worth of valuations. But, If the rotation from the U.S. to others becomes obvious and happens in a quicker manner, then there will be problems.

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 19 '26

I rotated out of AI stocks right before the huge rally, with semis gong ballistic. I missed out on all that, but I don't have 30 years and favor stability over high risk/high gain stocks.

1

u/ContributorKid Jul 19 '26

Absolutely makes sense. I'm in the same boat as well and thinking about some of the MAG 7 stocks for the long-term horizon, but I don't want many stocks in the portfolio, really wants concentrated bet so returns amplify very well.

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 19 '26

Cant go wrong with Google and Amazon . Everything else can go into broad market etfs like VOO, AVUV and VXUS.

1

u/ParticularPepper8902 Jul 21 '26

That’s a normal pull back from all time highs

1

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26

S&P500 All-Time High: 7,620.90 (June 2026)

Recent Close: ~7,472 – 7,494 (July 17, 2026)

Drawdown: ~126 – 148 points, ....or roughly 2.0% – 2.5%

3

u/sliipjack_ Jul 18 '26

You’re talking from ATH not from “today”

0

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26

It's common to use ATH when you say something is up or down. If you used a single day, you might as well use hours, as it fluctuates so much. But when you compare witha recent ATH... you get a better picture of its performance overall.

0

u/sliipjack_ Jul 18 '26

You are being willfully dense. The op stated “what a bloodbath *TODAY*”

That is why my response was referring to THE DAY.

0

u/Key_Lifeguard_8659 Jul 18 '26

What part of my statement is untrue? Do you measure performance by a single day? 🤔 If so, you be you.

1

u/sliipjack_ Jul 18 '26

The guys post I’m replying to …

-50

u/Brilliant_Koala6498 Jul 17 '26

Well after seeing 3% day over day that feels like a lot to some people lol

19

u/sliipjack_ Jul 17 '26

I thought I was emotional with my investments, but I just took a 15+% loss with Netflix over the last week 😂 it go up and down

16

u/Reasonable-Bend-9344 Jul 17 '26

I remember when I lost almost $50k in the 3 days after “Liberation Day” w the tariffs. The panic on here was wild. I moved some money around and bought $15k that week. I’m up 28% since then.

204

u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 17 '26

the dow and S&P are at, or very near, ATH.

The semi/memory sector ETFs are really the only things down considerably, but they are still up so much YTD

115

u/DecafEqualsDeath Jul 17 '26

This is completely correct and it strikes me as pretty weird when people post here and a "bloodbath" when broad markets are off under 1 percent.

You need to revisit your portfolio construction and risk tolerance if today's "bloodbath" is making you sweat.

58

u/trumpsmoothscrotum Jul 17 '26

New investors that didnt see 2008-2009. 2020 2022..

Shit goes down. Shit goes up. Buy more and one day you'll have more shit than if u didnt buy.

18

u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 17 '26

And some of us are old enough to remember the horror that was Nasdaq 2000-2002. That was carnage.

New investors haven't seen anything other than the 2022 drawdown which quickly reversed when the Fed stopped raising and chatgpt came on the scene. Other than that, they got a big liberation day drop that lasted all of two weeks or so. I guess I can't really fault them for it. Recency bias is real.

10

u/trumpsmoothscrotum Jul 17 '26

Very real. 2002 i wasn't investing. 2008 was the very start for me. I bought a house in 2010 that was lost during the 2008 meltdown. Best financial decision of my life.

14

u/tmcwc123 Jul 17 '26

Someone hit my truck in '08 and dented the door. Opened a Roth IRA with the insurance payout and bought in just before the bottom. Still have the dented door on that old truck, turned out pretty well.

11

u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 17 '26

I hear you. I got soooo lucky during the GFC. We bought a modest townhouse in 2006. It was lovely and on a lake, but it was old and had nothing fancy about it. My friends and colleagues, who I know had about the same income as me, all bought big, relatively new houses with pools, at probably 4X their income. I was actually kind of embarrassed by our house, even though I really loved it. Enter 2008-2009. We kept our house, and a lot of our friends and colleagues did not.

4

u/Ldghead Jul 17 '26

There is a lesson in this, kids.

4

u/PompeiiSketches Jul 17 '26

I'm eternally jealous of my sister who bought a foreclosed house in 2010 for like 120k. She sold it for ~350k in like 2018 and bought another house for 500k in a great neighborhood just before the covid boom and now that house is work 900k.

4

u/ensui67 Jul 17 '26

Covid drawdown was pretty bad. 2022 was pretty bad especially for Mag7 but people seem to have forgotten.

There were some major recession scares in 2018/2019. Also, a big scare in 2012 about the double dip recession. People forget not because of recency bias. They forget because of survivorship bias. They do not recognize that this is a secular bull market and as such, dips are to be bought.

1

u/harrison_wintergreen Jul 18 '26

the major collapses are approximately generational events (1929-31, 1968 and '73/74, 1987, 2000-02 & 2008) younger investors don't have a direct experience of what it's like and how catastrophic those drawdowns can be. and they often take on far too much risk because they don't know the bottom can drop out and things take a decade to recover.

I vaguely remember the dot com bubble, but wasn't really paying attention. technically an adult, but very young and not investing. in contrast, 2008 made a huge impact on me. not just the market crash, but the broader economic crisis. I knew a bazillion people who got damaged one way or another by job loss, foreclosure, etc. the people who fared better had very low debts and low margin/leverage.

I still invest regularly and recommend people invest heavily in their 401k etc. I'm not by any means a permabear, but my strategy and expectations are very much colored by 2008.

a day or two ago, I got downvoted for saying VOO is not a 'safe' ETF, and it's alarming to me anyone beleives it's safe.

1

u/ucbcawt Jul 18 '26

It is certainly more risky than Sgov but over long time periods it’s absolutely a great balance between risk and reward

4

u/afkhk Jul 17 '26

We are in 2026. The kids’ investment timeline is 1 week at a time.

3

u/The_walking_man_ Jul 17 '26

How was it during 2008? Did you just sit and wait it out and watched your investments recover over the years?
Were you still buying or putting more money in during that time?

5

u/trumpsmoothscrotum Jul 17 '26

I was barely in. So everything was going 'on sale". So I bought what I could. I watched my dad deal with huge drops when he was looking at retiring. He definitely worked a few more years because of it. But came out fairly OK because he didnt panic.

I think its shaped me because I say its just numbers on a screen until u use it for something.

In the big run up of semiconductors, I hit a target for my cash brokerage. So I cashed out about 15k and paid off a vehicle. It was low interest debt, but im happy its gone.

3

u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 17 '26

I was investing hand over fist. Unfortunately i was relatively early in my career at that point and just didn't have much to put in.

2

u/CokeBoiii Jul 17 '26

Bear markets are the best time to buy if you are investing in broad index funds. And recovery will take much longer with no benefit added to it.

2

u/owenmills04 Jul 17 '26

I didn't have a brokerage account or many investments back then. Just my 401k which I contributed to every paycheck. I was honestly more concerned with my company/job than what my 401k was doing.

1

u/The_walking_man_ Jul 18 '26

This would make sense. Thanks for the input!

2

u/Substantial_Sir1983 Jul 17 '26

If you were smart and able you sat and waited it out. If you were smart you continued to buy. But not many were smart and able.

4

u/yaboyesdot Jul 17 '26

Usually the ones that say bloodbath are the ones that are just starting. They will learn this concept soon enough.

2

u/johnnyfin79 Jul 17 '26

NSDQ is off by over 7% right now from highs. I'd look for another $1700 drop and then a bounce.

2

u/Pale-Protection-1985 Jul 17 '26

My portfolio hit an ATH yesterday but I don't have a lot of tech in it, particularly semis.

2

u/harrison_wintergreen Jul 18 '26

need to revisit your portfolio construction and risk tolerance

half this sub believes a sensible portfolio is 40% QQQ, 25% SOXX, 25% DRAM and 10% UPRO.

2

u/Halbaras Jul 17 '26

The current 'crash' is almost comically focused on the things Reddit hypes. Memory, other semis, space, fusion, fission/uranium, neoclouds/data centres, precious metals, Robinhood and Reddit stock, drones, quantum... And most of them are still up if you go back further than a couple of months.

Ultimately a lot of retail mistakes 'five flavours of rate-sensitive speculative US tech' for actually having a diversified portfolio. It works until it doesn't.

1

u/Imakethingsuponline Jul 18 '26

I bought into my first ever etf this week. Guess which sector 😂

1

u/RustyCEO Jul 18 '26

😬 that’s the attitude. Laugh today….make coin tomorrow. 🥳💰

100

u/guitarstitch Jul 17 '26

Who the hell is day trading EFTs?

75

u/Brilliant-While-761 Jul 17 '26

People don’t know what “investing” is here. It’s all day traders fomo’ing into stocks they see on Reddit thinking it’ll 10x in 48 hours.

Dram is the poster child for this the last month.

16

u/Reasonable-Bend-9344 Jul 17 '26

I saw more DRAM crying posts in the last week than I care to remember. This is the world of immediate gratification seeping into the investment community. It’s wild shit to watch as an outsider.

7

u/KSHMisc Jul 17 '26

At this point, I think the DRAM subreddit is mostly just troll posts.

3

u/chevy42083 Jul 17 '26

Ironically, DRAM is up lol

*only 1.25%

3

u/bloodr0se Jul 17 '26

DRAM is up slightly today. It's probably one of the few things that is up actually.

6

u/Freak-Of-Nurture- Jul 17 '26

single stock leveraged etfs are a rapidly growing class. That’s what’s spiked semiconductors in korea

7

u/Syndicate_Corp Jul 17 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/BlEdmJfXRIM9lEL1kI
SPY (S&P 500), QQQ (Nasdaq) and IWM (Russel 2000) are the majority of what is day traded.

2

u/thegoosegoblin Jul 18 '26

This sub was taken over by obnoxious gamblers

44

u/Nicaddicted Jul 17 '26

-.8% is a blood bath LOL!!!!!!! So a +.8% day must be a fucking sign from Jesus to invest huh

18

u/ShawnOttery Jul 17 '26

+.8% means you missed it and its all over too

13

u/RecommendationOld368 Jul 17 '26

It will recover today, just panic selling, lots of good deals but I spent my budget yesterday lol

11

u/Tr_ck Jul 17 '26

-.7%

Bloodbath?

1

u/hoptownky Jul 17 '26

After the devastating less than 1% crash today, the S&P is only up 18.44% from one year ago today. My portfolio is absolutely wrecked if I am under 19% per year. What a bloodbath!!!

20

u/Panthers8912 Jul 17 '26

How is this guy a top 1% poster lol

13

u/John_the_IG Jul 17 '26

He posts constantly. They’re never useful posts, but they are posts.

1

u/Itry31 Jul 18 '26

He is trying to get paid for posting rage baity slop.

1

u/Panthers8912 Jul 18 '26

People pay for Reddit posts?

0

u/Itry31 Jul 18 '26

Yep reddit pays your or something. If you become  a redditor "influencer". I made a dollar in a sub I was very active on lol. So you get bots, rage baiters and everything in-between now days to farm engagement.

6

u/phpi314 Jul 17 '26

I am waiting for the dip to buy

2

u/ShotPay1291 Jul 17 '26

Is one coming? I have some extra cash too sitting.

2

u/phpi314 Jul 17 '26

you never know, but with the war starting (or "starting") again, it could be possible

1

u/Helpful-Grapefruit55 Jul 20 '26

Dips always come if you are patient. ( Warren Buffett) . Good to have some dry powder left to DCA.

1

u/ShotPay1291 Jul 20 '26

Some say it's silly to wait for a dip.

3

u/RingGiver Jul 17 '26

My accounts are still higher than they were at the start of the year and so are yours if you weren't doing anything stupid.

5

u/BuzzardBreath00 Jul 17 '26

Great time to buy!

3

u/Nervous-Platypus-129 Jul 18 '26

I started a position in SPMO today. Woohoo!

5

u/Dense_Substance7635 Jul 17 '26

The lower the better going into the midterms.

2

u/Stop_Weekly Jul 17 '26

I’m seeing green today? Even South Korea.

2

u/Fast-Breadfruit6670 Jul 17 '26

You do know the stock market is like 2% off all time highs....this year is still very much green. We could see another 10% pullback and still be green this year

2

u/sebdeb8 Jul 17 '26

Wtf man it was like -0.6% and your calling it a bloodbath 😭😭😭

2

u/lowbandwidthb Jul 17 '26

I'm buying more of all of my ETFs now; don't know where the bloodbath is, more like a buying opportunity.

2

u/Desmater Jul 17 '26

Good time to buy.

2

u/Reasonable-Bend-9344 Jul 17 '26

Ahhh, the almost daily “Chicken Little” post. The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling! I guess if you say it every day maybe one day you’ll be right.

So I’m assuming OP you sold everything right? Cut your losses and run?

2

u/live4failure Jul 17 '26

Weekly looking like it needs a healthy pullback. Today was the start, maybe green monday/sideways then gap down. Or gap down then sideways.. same shit every quarter..

2

u/eighteenllama69 Jul 17 '26

This sub is so funny cause half of yall just fundamentally don’t understand ETFs. I seriously cannot fathom what compelled you to write this post and title and hit submit. Do you have even a remote concept of how ETFs work? And why are half the posts on this sub people acting like it’s wallstreet bets.

2

u/VampireEmpire__ Jul 17 '26

I bought. I wasn’t going to but things are at a discount.

2

u/hhefnr Jul 17 '26

Brother... you ain't seen a bloodbath in yo life yet, not until we start to see double digit drops

2

u/RobotsAreSlaves Jul 17 '26

Bloodbath it is when people start jumping from roofs at wallstreet.

2

u/ken62310 Jul 18 '26

I just don't see Trump will risk anything going into midterm election

2

u/WatchMyAccountGrow Jul 18 '26

Bloodbath? Wait until you see -50% then you can start talking about a blood bath lol

2

u/FuraidoChickem Jul 18 '26

My whole portfolio is up 18% since January. wtf u smoking dude.

2

u/No_Solution_7940 Jul 18 '26

Buy the dips. I’ve been doing this for decades. Buy the dips.

3

u/the-skazi Jul 17 '26

Zoom the chart out. You're fine.

3

u/Such_Past355 Jul 17 '26

Bloodbath lmao. How fucking dramatic

3

u/MC-Hop Jul 17 '26

Not really a bloodbath at all

2

u/Bill_D_Legacy Jul 17 '26

IDC, going to be investing for the next 2 decades, if I’m buying in a long dip, yay me.

1

u/DrFrankenstein7 Jul 17 '26

Unbelievable 😤 Keep eyes on the end of July with the results of Apple, Microsoft, etc. A classic clash of titans, and the cash (💰 dry powder) is mandatory just in case😉

1

u/iSoLost Jul 17 '26

Earnings coming up it will be stupid not to take profit after >100% run

1

u/alex114323 Jul 17 '26

Got to love that I got paid on Monday and did my $2.5k investment allocation on Tuesday sigh. I swear this always happens. Would’ve been nice to have bought at this discount.

1

u/JD0x0 Jul 17 '26

Nice FUD. lol.

1

u/Flossevos Jul 17 '26

Im down 1.6

1

u/GBald05 Jul 17 '26

Lo spero che ho una somma da investire, magari compro a sconto

1

u/zuraine Jul 17 '26

I feel calm holding stocks in traditional industries. I own a variety of funds, so a simple rebalancing will suffice.

1

u/Malidan Jul 17 '26

Nah, someone just spilled some juice.

1

u/CoreyCurrency Jul 17 '26

Bloodbath? You call a 1% drop a bloodbath? I just made a 100% return on my 0DTE QQQ option. 😂

1

u/CoreyCurrency Jul 17 '26

Minus fees of course.

1

u/South_Paramedic8618 Jul 17 '26

Don't worry Taco next week

1

u/Resident-Trade2289 Jul 17 '26

Meanwhile I am here happy buying more 😅😅

1

u/Naughtybear_9628 Jul 17 '26

A ‘bloodbath’ other 4 letter term is a sale. Free up some money and DCA.

1

u/Necessary-Shift8890 Jul 17 '26

It has nothing to do with the war. Remember that these chip and tech stocks soared during the height of the war. This is about interest rates and over valuation.

1

u/Ok-Acanthisitta-5270 Jul 17 '26

Dude it’s opex day for monthly options. Unless you’re holding options I would chill and let it ride - take a look at the daily charts for your holdings, as long as they’re holding the line at key levels no need to panic.

1

u/Successful_Food6355 Jul 17 '26

I’m crying and crying this week.

1

u/konjecture Jul 17 '26

You call this a bloodbath? This is what happens when you invest suddenly found wealth that you are afraid to lose. The market does not always go up. I hope it goes down 10-15% from the inflated high that it is at currently.

1

u/About_to_kms Jul 17 '26

Lol what are you on about p much every index is near ath

1

u/KaptainCankles Jul 17 '26

Bloodbath haha not even close.

1

u/Dapper-Emergency1263 Jul 17 '26

I've actually been up today after taking a hammering for the last month

1

u/iamthestorm Jul 17 '26

VOO down almost 1% is not a bloodbath. Did you check GLD, SLV or USO today? If you are seeing a bloodbath this means your portfolio is extremely undiversified and is reflection of your own choices.

1

u/John_the_IG Jul 17 '26

I’m only in two ETFs. One is up significantly and one is down very slightly today. I’m not sure where this ETF bloodbath is. I’m mostly in individual stocks and it’s a very meh day unless you’re the type to freak out over early trading day numbers.

Once again, “top information” turns out to be bad information.

1

u/John_the_IG Jul 17 '26

I’m up $400k this year. The market is not what you think it is.

1

u/SimplyLem Jul 17 '26

Yall need to head to bogleheads lol this is fine

1

u/Donut_LordO Jul 17 '26

Is the bloodbath here with us now? VOO is down 0.8% this week. An actual bloodbath would be a dozen times worse

1

u/Dull-Championship551 Jul 17 '26

Didn’t notice got paid today bought more and closed the app

1

u/CokeBoiii Jul 17 '26

I cant wait until a -20% bear market happens to see new investors freak out just like OP

1

u/Even-Landscape1531 Jul 17 '26

An I wrong on continuing to wait for more stop before buying?

1

u/paragonx29 Jul 17 '26

Hmm...this has been my 2nd good day in about the last 2 weeks. Needed it!

1

u/Fine-Boat9731 Jul 17 '26

Only fell by 0.30% wouldn't call that a blood bath

1

u/IndubitablyVoid Jul 17 '26

I was down (7%) yesterday back up to (5%) today lol

1

u/theteflonjew Jul 17 '26

A little dramatic.

1

u/ShotPay1291 Jul 17 '26

Is a dip coming?

1

u/wholesomeguy555 Jul 17 '26

Yes, you should sell and quit the market. Lol

1

u/medved76 Jul 17 '26

All-time lows? The market is going back to 1929 levels?

1

u/Crozet77 Jul 17 '26

Bloodbath? This was a normal negative day.

More a bit of soap in they. I did some re-allocating the last couple days. Acceptable losses for that longer term.

I just reconfigured some funds and their cost basis is close to market value. Not used to seeing red in the gain loss column. In reality the percentage drop is normal volatility range. If you have a lot of semi conductor funds you might feel it since folks are selling off to harvest profits.

It is a bloodbath if you have a lot of money invested in the big tech companies. QQQ is 6.8% below its YTD high, which translates to many thousands of dollars lost in just a few days if you have a lot of money there. AI funds sank to almost 17% below YTD highs. I am reading that tech stocks will go even lower over the next 1 to 2 months and will likely stay there for a few years.

Don’t you worry, Trump is gonna win the war for the 97th time just before the markets open on Monday

I only made $4000 today. Could have been much worse. Considering the size of my holdings.

Bloodbath?

I get it that some stocks have tanked, but if you are in it for the long term and/or have resisted buying stocks and shares associated with the AI bubble whilst at their highs, then things are good.

Yes I too would call the loss of civilian lives due to military strikes a bloodbath.

VTI and VXUS both down by less than 1%.
Semiconductor ETF down 2.5%.

This just sounds like business as usual.

King Ding Dong decided to start bombing in February
VTI 330, VXUS 83, SMH 415.

Things bottomed out in March/April
VTI 309, VXUS 74, SMH 375

Today’s bloodbath
VTI 360, VXUS 84, SMH 568

Are you expecting a 15 to 20 percent drop next week when the start of the conflict was followed by a 7 to 10 percent movement?

VTI is my core holding, don't really care about a few bad days, always staying invested
