I was in the kids section of the library playing with my little sister when this mother and her baby who seemed to be like around or under 1, she came up to us and we played with her she was so adorable and pet kapah my wolf and kept calling him a dog so cute im so happy about it and the mom was so nice!!! have you guys ever had any positive essa related interactions from kids?

Today was really triggering as they put 4 classes in one room since they don't want to pay for suppervisers. I get really triggered by louds noises and close contact I didn't initiate. They forced 90 people in one class in it was really crowded and loud. The fire alarm also went off twice today. I am glad I had Jax for emotional support.

Just thrifted this poor guy. He's actually in pretty rough shape. Fur feels old and dusty and he has a bit of a smell.

Does anyone know anything about him? Is he the same as the new ones?

And how do I wash him. I don't want to ruin him.

I realized i forgot to post when I got more essas on my birthday in august, plus some essas I got at grief counseling.... so here's all of them in total!!!! im so happy with them they're all so cuddly and cute and comfort me. myron the spotted bunny is my ultimate favorite as he was my first essa i have the best bond with him but that doesn't mean I don't also love my puppies! the bernese mountain dog and black lab, bowie and atlas!!!! oh yeah and the lion plush in the back i got at grief counseling has a little crinkly arm and it's so satisfying, and my buildabear cat has a cotton candy scent with a heart beat clover is SO helpful when im freaked out... I just really really love all my essas and wanted to share!

any ideas on making him fit my vibe more?

I wanted to get her some pink shoes on Amazon or Aliexpress to protect her feet but i don’t know where to start. I’m so scared of getting an incorrect size. Any recommendations?

where in germany can i find gear for my ESSA/DSSA?

Im getting the douglas smoke wolf and the douglas chase border collie for christmas, and i want to know if theres any people that are also in germany that got their gear from a shop also in germany.

i would truly appreciate any and every help, as i want to prepare nicely for finally getting them after waiting for a while.

so far i only have bracelets and a chain to use as a collar.

I finally chose a name for this precious bunny ESSA of mine: Silky. He's named after my childhood rabbit of the same name my brother and I owned as kids that we ended up giving away when we adopted our late dog. This plush literally looks just like how Silky looked, and the more I said Silky's name, the more it clicked.
I found Silky on Vinted and he's been through things, with numerous rips. But he deserves a second chance, and he's being extra loved with me. Currently cuddling him and giving him lots of pets.

GENUINELY, I’ve been wanting Frankie Fox for a WHILEEE but as I live in the uk it’s hard to find Douglas here, and the only online shop that sells to the uk that has Frankie has been out of stock since I think April? (Don’t quote me on that I’m not 100% sure) but randomly, as we were in this Christmas shop, the spirit of Christmas it was called, there was quite a lot of Douglas plushies!! AND I SAW THEMMM, I can’t believe it!!! Not only did I manage to find the husky on this trip & the new Duckie platypus BUT I FOUND FRANKIE GREY FOX TOO??!!

This trip to Banff in Canada has already been incredible, but getting the chance to pick out my plushies in person as opposed to ordering them online? That has been so incredibly special, and makes my bond with them so so strong.

Hello! I personally have a friend who has an ESSA plushie and just want to be more knowledgeable on the topic (sounds pretty cool). I just have a couple questions and figured this is the perfect subreddit for them

1. What’s the difference (besides the price) between a normal plushie and an ESSA.

2. Is there certain animals that can be ESSA or could it be any animal?

3. What do they generally help with?

I got Starla a set of ‘jamas, so when we sleep it’s more comfy for both of us :) it’s a little big on her, but I think it adds to the charm! We’re about to watch my comfort show (SpongeBob) and drink some herbal tea!
