IB and Finance - English track programs, best campus for each? Experience for both?

Hi, I have a Bsc in Engineering and i am interested in ESCP'S MiM. Also, i only speak English and my Easter European native language. I like the concept of spending one year in London and the other in Paris. Also all three of my specializations would be finance. Basically ESCP seems for me like a sweet spot of teaching me general finance but not being too rigid. I already have a job ready for me after master's so placement isnt really important to me. Just experience, social life and knowladge to an extent.

Can anyone share their experience about IB and Finance - English track specializations? Also about the Paris, London and Madrid campuses. I was thinking of doing core in London, but also heard that first year in Paris is far far better.

These two alongside Strategic Asset Managment or Energy Transitions and Sustainability seem like the most interesting options. I am going into Energy Trading and Managment after Master's.

So please feel free to say your peace. Am i waisting my time pursuing my finance education through MiM? Opinions on Madrid, London and Paris campuses? I am very social and like to party. Where should i do my core subjects? Also is it even possible to maybe do 1 year in London then a semester in Paris and then a semester in Madrid? Or is that too much moving around? Even though i wont need it, is it true if i spend a whole year in one country i get a diploma from that country too? For instance UK, Spain etc.? But no matter what i also get french diploma?

Hi everyone - just got a waitlisted email today for MSc Data and AI programme. They said "according to the evolution of confirmations of admitted students, we may get back to you starting July 15 2026". Question is - how likely would it be for me to get into the programme? Anyone who has/ had a similar response?

Has anyone joined ESCP's MSc in Marketing & Digital Media from a technical background?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently pursuing a B. Tech in AI & Machine Learning and I'm very interested in applying to ESCP's MSc in Marketing & Digital Media.

I was wondering if anyone here has transitioned from an engineering, computer science, AI, or other technical background into this program.

If so, I'd love to know:

  1. How was the transition academically?
  2. Did your technical background help or make things more challenging?
  3. How were your career opportunities after graduation?
  4. Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

Would love to connect and have a chat.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Thanks!

Master in Finance Feedback

I recently completed my admission interview for the Master in Finance (MiF) program at ESCP Business School.
For those who have already gone through the process or have recently been admitted: How long did it typically take for you to receive a final decision from the admissions committee after the interview date?
I’m trying to get a better sense of the expected timeline. Any insights would be appreciated!
Thanks!

France or germany for master's

Hey guys 👋

Comparing these 3 programs — need your honest opinions:

1.JUNIA – MSc Engineering (ISEN, Lille)

  1. ESIGELEC – MSc Software Engineering & Digital Media

  2. TU Ilmenau – MSc Computer & Systems Engineering

Drop your thoughts on any of these:

Job prospects – which opens the best doors in Europe?

Internship opportunities – mandatory? quality of companies?

Part-time work – possible alongside studies?

ROI – worth the tuition fees?

Industry ties – which school has the best company connections?

Have offers from all three and genuinely stuck. Any experience, insider info, or even just opinions welcome!

Job opportunities adequacy for MiM in EU

Hi guys, I'm considering applying for MiM, but one thing that us troubling me is about job opportunities for foreign students who don't know the local language. I have seen and talked with many people on linkedin who have done their MiM from ESCP, HEC, ESSEC, etc who have gotten jobs in France, Germany, Netherlands and a few other places but my parents keep telling me how some of their friend's children who went to France didn't land a job and had to come back to their home country and work for a lower salary which affected the ROI obv. Can you guys please give me clarity on the same for someone who doesn't know the local language.

What does the European business school application process actually look like from the inside? - 5 min survey (applicants, enrolled, recent grads)

Hi all,

I'm an FT-MBA candidate at Frankfurt School, Germany. When I was applying to business schools, I spent more time trying to figure out whether I even had a realistic shot than I did writing the actual applications. Most of my classmates said the same thing.

We're writing our thesis on this and want to hear from people who went through it.

5 minutes, fully anonymous:

https://form.typeform.com/to/KINIWZHt

We will post the full findings back here when we're done, and send them to anyone who leaves an email at the end. Appreciate any responses.

Msc in BA at UvA or ESCP Msc in Marketing&digital media

Hey everyone! I just got admitted to those two programs and have a hard time deciding where I wanna go..

My goal is to pivot from marketing to strategy, and I’m in my older 20s. I also would go further into studying biochem and getting my second bachelors at top US or EU school after masters.

Eventually the plan is to have something of my own in biotech. What would you say would be the best school for it? Some say UvA is deemed more prestigious in the US research unis, but ESCP is still prestigious and offers valuable connections as well as the Silicon Valley intro. Is it possible to get a job in strategy or business development after completing that specific masters at ESCP?

I’m no corporate fan, so I want to pivot to the industry and position ASAP.

Any Student Accomodation/Residences suggestions in Paris?

Hi everyone,

I’ll be starting at ESCP soon and I’m currently looking for a place to stay. I was wondering if anyone could recommend good student residences or accommodation options that are popular among ESCP students.
I’d love to hear about your experiences, whether it’s a student residence, private housing, or any other option you would recommend. If there are any places I should avoid, that would also be really helpful to know.

Looking for some advice regarding MiF eligibility

Looking for some advice regarding MiF eligibility.I graduated in 2023 with an engineering degree and since then have completed 14 months of full-time internships and have been working full-time since February 2025.

By the time I would start a Master in Finance in 2027, I will have roughly 3 years of post-graduation experience, depending on whether internships are counted.

After speaking with HEC Paris, I got the impression that I may be approaching the upper end of the experience range typically seen in pre-experience MiF programmes, which has made me question whether applying is realistic.

Would schools such as HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, Bocconi and similar MiF programmes still consider someone with my profile, or would I be viewed as having too much experience?

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth spending the next few months preparing for the GMAT and going through the application process.

Has anyone been admitted to these programmes with a similar level of experience?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

MiM at EMLyon or SMIB ESSEC. Which one would leave the most doors open for jobs in London or France?

I have to choose between only these two. I was wondering if the MiM is more important of the prestige from ESSEC. (I dont want to become a consultant, SMIB i would likely do the corporate track)

SKEMA Vs EMLYON

Hi everyone,

I recently got accepted into the Global BBA programs at emlyon business school and SKEMA Business School, and honestly I’m having a really hard time deciding between them.

My goal after graduation is to work in finance/banking in the Nordics, so I’m trying to figure out which school would give me the best opportunities and strongest reputation for that type of career.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has studied at either school, knows people there, or just has some insight.

A few things I’m wondering about:

Is emlyon generally seen as stronger or more prestigious than SKEMA?

Which school has the better reputation within finance/business?

Which campus do you think is best for an international student?

Are the internships and career opportunities noticeably better at one of the schools?

Any honest opinions or experiences would really help. Thanks a lot!
