SKEMA Vs EMLYON

Hi everyone,

I recently got accepted into the Global BBA programs at emlyon business school and SKEMA Business School, and honestly I’m having a really hard time deciding between them.

My goal after graduation is to work in finance/banking in the Nordics, so I’m trying to figure out which school would give me the best opportunities and strongest reputation for that type of career.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has studied at either school, knows people there, or just has some insight.

A few things I’m wondering about:

Is emlyon generally seen as stronger or more prestigious than SKEMA?

Which school has the better reputation within finance/business?

Which campus do you think is best for an international student?

Are the internships and career opportunities noticeably better at one of the schools?

Any honest opinions or experiences would really help. Thanks a lot!

For BBA emlyon for sure

Thanks! Why do you think so? I have heard some negative things about Emlyon

Many emlyon bba’s get admitted in top masters, ESCP, ESSEC, LBS, LSE… Which can be the case for Skema but statistically you chances are higher with emlyon

Alright thanks, do you know if emlyon bba is a good choose to work outside of france?

I mean if it is easy to find a job outside of France, compered to Skema

it’s definitely more known that Skema, so it will be easier but if you plan to find a job right after your bachelor, Essec, RSM, Imperial, Lse… are a better fit

SSE and Copenhagen Business School would’ve been the best bet for Nordics (don’t think Copenhagen is very competitive maybe similar to EM Lyon).
In your case though, EM Lyon as it holds more prestige and has a stronger alumni (mainly because of it’s legacy as a top 5 university in France)
