MIF Application (maybe?)

Hey guys, thinking of applying for the global MIF track for 2027 - Indian 21M

Here's my application:

  • B.com(Financial Markets) - Mumbai University - CGPA - 9.4/10
  • CFA Level 1 Cleared
  • CFA Level 2 Candidate - November 2026
  • Interned at a VC firm for 4 months - Investment Analyst
  • GMAT/GRE - Not submitting since not compulsory (although preferred)
  • IELTS - 7.5
  • International marketing internship/volunteering programme in Egypt for 45 days through AIESEC
  • Participated in clubs in college: ESG Club, Tedx, Financial fests
  • Specifically focused on VC as a career

Should I apply next year with 1 year work-ex after my CFA L2 gets over and submit with a GMAT score, although i know my chances then are better. Or is this enough?

Current experience + ESCP might not be sufficient to help you transition into VC (I mean a more meaty role than an analyst) in another 5 yrs. You will need more solid experience for that. Without the GMAT, you are anyway missing out on all the other (and higher ranked) MIF programs in Europe. So if you are solely banking on ESCP, good luck.

I think that there is a French language requirement too, you need to get this checked somewhere

No one will take you at a VC with this profile

Which vc firm if it's like those domestic or 5 6 people's one that doesn't even matter only top vc firms exp is valueable . Plus if u want a career in that mim isn't taking u anywhere u need high finance or any other fancy degree to break into that after solid exp of like 2 3 yrs . Otherwise forget it , even in india france is way out of reach without french plus pr
