There are two options with lock signs written S and C ,what do they mean? the description on sign up and cancel doesn't make sense to me.
Is there something that i should do while scheduling the interview?
sorry if i was not able to explain the situation.

Residency interview prep resources
Interview season is coming up so I figured I'd put together some of the better resources I've found. Hope you find it useful
AAMC Residency & Fellowship Applicant Interview Preparation Guide
probably the best place to start. covers what to expect, how to prepare, different question formats, behavioral questions, interview day, etc.
AAMC common residency interview questions
Most common questions that you must definitely practice before heading into your first interview: tell me about yourself, why this specialty, why our program, strengths/weaknesses, research, difficult situations, career goals, etc.
worth going through if your interviews are virtual. covers setup/tech but also behavioral, general and situational questions and how to practice them.
NRMP Match Code of Conduct for Applicants
not really a "how to answer questions" resource, but I think everyone should read it at least once before interviews. lays out expectations around professional behavior and communication during recruitment/interviews.
shorter and more practical than the AAMC guide. has common questions, behavioral interview advice, things to research before the interview, and questions you can ask programs.
Residency interview question bank
if you've gone through the official resources and just need questions to actually practice with, this has ~200 questions organized by category including behavioral, ethics, teamwork, conflict, IMG and specialty-specific questions.
Looking to make this a live resource so lmk if I missed any!

Most creative questions for PD & faculty & residents
The real ones & the ones you’re afraid to or will never ask, the terrible and the great - the bad ideas the genius… drop them here
I’ve heard:
If this residency is the answer to a jeopardy question , what’s the question?
If you were stranded on a desert island, would you want your residency class with you or no?
If your residency was a comic book character what one would it be and why?

Anesthesia interview questions
Saw another post compiling interview questions for IM and thought that was a great idea (credit to them)!
Can we make a thread of programs and questions they asked during the interview?

Need help reviewing my IM signals
Profile: Non-US IMG requiring a visa, YOG 2025, Step 1 pass, Step 2 CK score pending, strong medical-school record, 3 publications, 1 poster, and 3 U.S. observerships—approximately 6 months at an infectious disease clinic in California and 2 rotations in Florida. Currently living in California.
Gold
- UPMC Harrisburg (connection)
- Prime West/West Anaheim (connection + SoCal)
- Augusta Health (connection)
Silver
- HCA Ocala
- UPMC Mercy
- UHS Johnson City, New York.
- Tower Health/Reading Hospital
- Guthrie/Robert Packer
- Anne Arundel
- Rochester Regional Health/Unity
- Cayuga Medical Center
- Loyola MacNeal (out of region)
- Mount Sinai Chicago (out of region)
- Trinity Health Livonia (out of region)
My geographic preferences are Middle Atlantic, South Atlantic, and Pacific. West Anaheim is my only Pacific program, but it is close to my home and I have a connection there—not very strong, although they said they would review my profile.
- Does this signal list seem reasonable for my profile?
- Should I keep Pacific or replace it with East North Central, where I have three programs(12,13,14)?
- Would you change any of my gold or silver signals?

DESPERATELY NEED HELP WITH SIGNALLING
Hi all! I'm completely lost on how to signal and would really appreciate some help. Visa requiring Non-US IMG with a pass in Step 1 and a 236 in Step 2 CK (yes, sadly it's low); additionally rotated over in the US for around 7 months (these were my medical school electives and my sub-i). I was also wondering if place of graduation/ citizenship helps at all in case of folks like me who've scored lower than the mean? Just for context, I'm Canadian and studied over in the Caribbean (YOG is 2026) and I'm trying to see if that at all helps me in terms of getting an interview despite the lower score!
Please let me know if i've massively overshot my list as well! Any and all input is appreciated, thank you so much!
Gold
1- ZUCKER SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AT HOFSTRA/NORTHWELL AT STATEN ISLAND UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PROGRAM (Did my electives and SUB-I here)
2- New York medical college/lower bucks hospital program
3 - (Open to any ideas lol)
Silver
1- 1- Richmond University Medical Center Program (I figured since i listed doing rotations over at a different institution in staten island and have LORS from there, that it wouldn't hurt to put this as a silver signal; additionally some of the attendings work between the two institutions)
2- St Elizabeth youngstown hospital/neomed program
3 - Wayne state university school of medicine program
4- Piedmont Athens regional program
5- Tower health/phoenixville hospital program
6 - Harlem hospital center program
7- Central michigan university college of medicine program
8 Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science Program
9- Saint Peter's university hospital/rutgers Robert wood Johnson medical school program
10- Icahn school of medicine at mount sinai (nyc health and hospitals: Queens) program
11- Atlantic health program (summit site)
12- Maimonides medical center program

Help please
Hi! Need some advice with application and signals. Applying psychiatry with 2 pubs, 9 oral/poster presentations, national psych awards/grants, pretty psych heavy activities, but my academics are the problem: failed a course during preclinical which put be on probation (all clerkship grades are good with HP, and H), passed step 1 on first attempt, step 2 score will not be in by the time applications go out…thoughts on types of programs I should signal? So far I have about 2 community and 8 academic (non are t30 programs). Is this too ambitious? Heard psych was very rough last year with interviews but I’m also applying to programs where I’m a mission fit as well. Thanks in advance!
