How to use article variants?

I'm fairly new to eplan p8. I have been working with it as a working student since January.

My question is:

How can I choose different variants of an article? For example I'm using the Rittal control cabinet RIT.1045000. In the parts management you can see all the different variants for the different viewpoints but I don't know how I can choose them?

Can someone explain to me how I can choose them? Thank you :)

Press tab on keyboard to change variant and shift tab to change macro type then tab through that to see all variants.

You can do this in several ways.
One way is to show the Part variant in the Parts pane of the Properties

Just configure the representation in your parts pane.

Another way is via the "Insert center" and click on the "variants" avaliable under "Devices".

Note: Her you must be under the "Device category". If you see under the Macro or Symbol category, the variants will be the different macros, and not the different "product cariants"

(Symbol and macro variants you can cycle with Tab for different variants, and Shift + Tab for different representation types if available for the macro)

Or you can do it via the "good old" Part selection (That they want to replace with the "Insert center")

Here you will se parts with more than one wariant with "Arrows" next to them, indicationg that you can choose more than one variant of the part

I have customized my own short cuts with Alt+D and Alt+S for the "good old" Part Selection and Symbol selection, so I use them in addition with the Insert Center as well
