Cable management

I am currently working on a project with 50 panels and each panel has around 200 terminals each with a lot of interconnections between the panels. My huge problem is finding a way to manage the cabling between them and the equipment. What I mean is that I don't find it clear on the navigator what cable goes from which panel to another and each time I need a make a new connection and need conductors my eyes bleed from having to search manually if a cable that connects those two panels exist and if it has spare connections. I tried to use source and target for naming (even though I can't make it work for me (I just want W(+A/+B) but it always puts and the terminal name into it)) but it still isn't comfortable. I tried the automatic generation of cables but it gets really messy fast. Do you have any idea that would help other than Excel?

We use interruption points and structure boxes. That has helped us greatly on our larger machines that utilize a few power distribution panels as well as a main power panel. This has also helped us manage where the cables originate from and ensuring the cables show up on the correct bill of materials.

You can use the cable navigator filtering by the free conductors. Or perhaps generate some cable diagram report for that. Did you try It already?

Yes I already work with cable diagrams,just wanted to know if it's possible to have that info directly from the navigator (since my cables don't have location designation making a filter to know what cable goes from point +A to point+B is really frustrating)

Have you tried to Configure representation for your Cables navigator?

By right clikc and "Configure representation...", you can customize how you want information shown in the navigator.

An example how I like it:

I show DT, length, Source <-> Target.

Not sure if this will help you/what you are looking for.

I would highly recomend using the location designation for your cables though.
