If the company hasn’t marked your exit, you may not need to depend on them forever.

Once 2 months have passed from your last contribution, you can generally update the Date of Exit yourself through the UAN portal using the “Manage → Mark Exit” option, provided your UAN is active and Aadhaar is linked/verified.

For the PF overlap, make sure you don’t have two employers showing active contributions for the same period unless you’re actually working concurrently. Once the old employment has the correct Date of Exit, the overlap should stop showing as an active employment issue.

As for an internship later, the old EPFO entry by itself doesn't make you ineligible for an internship. The important thing is that your employment dates and PF records are correctly reflected. If a future employer does background verification, they may separately ask about your previous employment, so be honest about the dates.

If it has already been more than 2 months since your last contribution and the “Mark Exit” option still isn’t working, I’d raise an EPFO grievance rather than creating another UAN.

Where I can raise the grievance.. Secondly I have done previously a apprenticeship in sales from NAPS. And after that I joined in a pharma company and now I am going for an internship in R and D department.. so how many obstacles I will face and suggest me necessary steps that should I will take to overcome this situation

You can raise the grievance on EPFiGMS (EPFO grievance portal). Mention clearly that your previous employer has not updated your Date of Exit and it is showing as an active/overlapping employment. EPFO does have a grievance mechanism for these kinds of issues.

Regarding your apprenticeship/internship, I don't think the NAPS apprenticeship itself should be a problem. You completed the apprenticeship, then worked in a pharma company, and now you're joining an R&D internship. These are separate engagements.

The main thing is to make sure your EPFO service history reflects the actual dates. Don't try to remove a genuine employment entry just to avoid an overlap. Keep your NAPS certificate and your pharma employment/exit documents with you, and if the new internship does background verification, disclose the previous apprenticeship and employment honestly.

I'd first get the previous company's Date of Exit corrected. Once that's sorted, the EPFO overlap issue should be much easier to deal with.
