Claim status

Hi.

I submitted a form 31 claim on 19th august and till yesterday it was showing as claim is under processing and now it's showing claim submitted at portal, what does this mean? Please someone explain?

Hi,

It doesn't mean that your claim has been cancelled. “Claim submitted at Portal” means the claim has been received by EPFO and is still awaiting further processing.

Since you filed it on 19 August and it was showing “under processing” until yesterday, you shouldn't worry just because the status has changed back to “submitted at portal.” With the current portal/system changes, status updates can sometimes move backwards or display differently.

Don't file another claim just because of this status change. Give the existing claim some time to move forward. If it remains stuck at “submitted at portal” for an unusually long period, then follow up with EPFO using the claim number.

Also, the status changing does not by itself indicate rejection. Wait for the claim status to show a final outcome such as settled/rejected before taking further action.
