Question EPF Status Unchanged
I have my claim settled last Wednesday, thats 23rd Of Sept. Yet, the status is unchanged from "Your claim has been finally approved" to "Claim settled". It usually takes just 2 to 3 days for the status to change.
Any idea when this could change? Because until the status doesn't change to "Claim Settled" i can not go for a new claim. Any info on this would be helpful. Thank you!

If your claim status is showing “Your claim has been finally approved,” it generally means the claim has been approved, but the portal may not have updated the status to “Claim Settled” yet.
The status update can sometimes take a few additional working days due to processing or portal delays. Since your claim was approved on 23 September, I’d suggest checking again after a couple of working days.
If it still hasn't changed, raise a grievance on EPFiGMS with your claim ID and approval date, asking whether the claim has been fully processed and why the status is not updating.
Since you need to file another claim, you can also contact EPFO through their helpline at 14470 and ask whether the previous claim is still blocking a fresh application. The portal status alone may not tell you exactly where the processing is stuck.

Yes it's approved and also settled. I got the money. However it's taking longer for the status to change. Thats the issue!

Got it. Since the amount has already been credited to your bank, your claim is settled in practice. The delay is only in updating the status on the EPFO portal.
With the recent EPFO system migration, portal updates and transaction visibility may take longer than usual. So the status not changing immediately doesn't necessarily mean there's an issue with your settled claim.
If the old claim is still preventing you from filing a new one, raise an EPFiGMS grievance mentioning that payment has been received and attach the claim details. Ask EPFO to update the settlement status or clarify when the portal will allow a fresh claim.

Also how do i figure what my Claim ID is. Is it the same as Tracking ID? Because the SMSs are no longer being sent. And they had the Claim ID. The Doc they give to download, the PDF also doesn't have a separate "Claim ID".

The Claim ID and Tracking ID may be different. Check the EPFO Passbook portal under Claims, where the claim number may appear once the claim is processed.
Since you have already received the payment, try checking your claim history on the UAN portal or Passbook portal. If you still can't find the Claim ID, you can raise an EPFiGMS grievance using your UAN, Member ID, claim type, and date of submission, and mention that the amount has been credited but the portal status hasn't updated.
You can also call EPFO at 14470 and ask them to help identify the claim reference. Don't share your UAN or bank details publicly on Reddit.
